Default Buyer Beware: Avoid This eBay seller:

    Hi Folks,

SOme of you may remember me being psuyched that I won Beyond Shadowgate for the Turbo Duo. Well, turns he sent me bootlegged CDRs.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...gory=4315&rd=1

I wrote him requesting a refund, and if he doensn't comply...well, I guess I report him to eBay (or burn his car down, ! JK! Some of you may get that joke).

Another seller wrote me and he did the same to him. Just wanted to give you guys a heads-up.

    Talk soon!

I don't understand people.. If your going to do a crime for under $100 just auction something then dont send anything at all.. both the same crime in the eyes of the law.. Hell, if I was a nasty SOB I'd set up crap auctions all over the net for boxed Top loader $69.99 then never make good.. :P

Luckly, for my karma's sake, I'm not.

A seller tried to do that to me, but I was lucky and noticed that he had sold several of the same "rare" item over and over again. I found out he was selling copies before I sent him money. I notified eBay (along with one other buyer) and he was booted ASAP.

That may have been what happened to this guy. He is no longer a registered user. His feedback isn't too bad though. Very strange.

Actually, he's been doing this for a while, and so have other sellers, the strange thing is, I read some of their feedback, and they had messages like "excellent backups, thanks" etc.

Ebay seems to care about it once in a while, sometimes they just let them sell cdrs, 1 guy had something like, "you get all the games in the picture" he had a bunch of cdrs along with a modded playstation, the auction was not removed.
