    I had the same problem with my PS3 three months after buying it. It is a known issue with Sony and they gave me a brand new one in about 1 week. It was VERY fast turn around.

    Good to know! but this was a 60GB launch unit Highly doubt they would send him back the same system let alone another 60GB unit but I might be wrong.
