Some people just don't like blood in games. I'm one of those people. I'm happy that option is there. I don't understand why giving players more options is something to complain about.

I could see wanting a lighthearted game that played like Gears, but had candy colored textures, happy music, and characters that bled sparkles and gumdrops.
Since Gears has a very dark and gritty aesthetic, though, I think the blood and gore is essential.
