Trade-in value of some recent games?

A friend handed over some games to save himself the trouble of selling them to the local GameStop or something, but I want to make sure he didn't give me anything worthwhile. I'm pretty sure that 3 are worth pretty much nothing, but the fourth, who knows? On the other hand, I'm also just curious how bad GS is going to screw you on buys ($5? $1? $0.25??)...

PS2 Head Coach (new for $20, can't be worth much used)
PS3 Madden 07 (two years old, can't be worth much used)
Wii Chicken Shoot (new for $20, can't be worth much used)
Wii Super Swing Golf (???)

More generally, are there any game stores that still show a "buying price" list online somewhere? Is Game Dude still around??

PS2 Head Coach is in the cheap cheap bin with 50% off. I think they SELL it for $1 now.

gamestop offered me $.50 or $.75 for Madden 07 for the PS3 the other day. I kept it though.

Hey Russ,

Don't even think of selling to GameStop. They are nasty crooks and won't give you what you want. Over here for instance, they sell Marvel vs. Capcom 2 for XBox for $60...yet only give you $10 (!!!) for it.

i called gs the other day and asked about some trade prices for original xbox games, some things are ok and some not worth it,

Lol they pay $9 for san andreas,

for the kingdom under fire heroes like $5

conker live and reloaded was like $5. But games like counterstrike and area 51 were like .75 each .

area 51 i thought was an absolutely amazing game!

Don't worry, these aren't going to GameStop -- they're in my collection now. I'm just trying to make sure I owe him like a six-pack instead of a magnum of champagne.

So far, no one has commented on Super Swing Golf for Wii... Is this worth anything at all?

gamestop can be a good place to trade in if you hit them up towards a preorder game with a coupon that stacks.

and to kirby- they're not "crooks" for giving $10 for a game they sell for $60, it's called business. if people weren't ignorant (or lazy) about selling on ebay, they wouldn't even bother selling to gamestop. if you saw some guy at a garage sale selling his games marked at "make an offer" and you offered $10 for MVC2, would you call yourself a crook? are the many people on these boards who go to flea markets with the SOLE intent of reselling cheap buys for high profits crooks? I didn't think so...

I only buy new and sealed games from GS, unless I stumbled across a used game that's generally rough to find and it's a good price. If a "new" game is opened and they must retrieve from the drawer then I deny service from them. You have these options.
