Looks awesome, one can only HOPE that the story doesn't suck half as much as the last one (I want to play AS SNAKE, not some stupid surfer, and I don't want the story to suddenly double back on itself 13 times in the last hour of the game)

This new one reminds me a lot of Predator (the movie). Which is cool. I don't really know why he takes a bite out of that snake. And, it's obviously tough to tell which parts of that video are movie footage, and which are gameplay. That's a big question.

Yeah, you need to be snake, but i really didnt mind all the cinematics of MGS2. Even though it was a lot of the game, it was well done, and I enjoyed every cutscene...but thats just me.

I thought the name is kinda strange but it's snake so I guess it's kinda fits as for biting the snake many south american tribes believe that if you take a bite from the snake it helps you think and become a better warrior. Many of the tribes to this day including some in southern Mexico take part in the ritual of the Snake and It's quite a Tasty Treat As I had Snake before.

MGS2 was a disappointment after all that hype. Maybe if MGS3's trailers look kind of blah the game'll turn out fun. :)

Metal Gear Solid is THE game I most enjoyed playing, couldn't put it down from the time I started to the time I completed it. Metal Gear Solid 2 I played half way through then got extremely bored with the massive cutscenes. Actually walked out on one of them and made dinner then by the time I got back it was still playing the damed cut scene!!

Apparently this movie is purely that and doesn't represent the in game graphics. Fingers crossed it witnesses a return of Solid Snake and that punk from MGS2 dies horribly. We also have that conversion of Metal Gear Solid from the PSX upgraded to the GameCube in the works. I might be interested in reinvesting for a second helping of the experience

I first played MGS2 and fell in love with it. i thought it was the greatest game i had ever played. I bought MGS thinking it was just as good, and it just annoyed me. it had no first person view, the R2, L2, controls were different. Im not sure but it just bugged me.

Me too. Metal Gear Solid 2 seemed to refine the great gameplay from the first, but that ridiculous storyline and that whiny punk-ass sucked the fun out of it. I envy those of you that could look past the constant babble to enjoy what was an accomplished game.

I liked the cinematics, I just didn't like the story line in the end. Way too many twists, and most of them stupid. I played plot line A for the first 30 hours, finish with plot line A, not plot line B, C, D, E, to F in the last hour of gameplay. And I DON'T want to see live footage of people walking around streets in Japan for chrissakes.

Ah man, I cant wait! After controling a chronic whiner for 1/2 the game in MGS2, having a full game of Snake is going to be sweet.

BTW--I was kinda disappointed that Konami announced a remake of MGS...I was hoping that they'd release here in the US the real Metal Gear 2 but with modern update graphics, sound, etc. *shrugs* Maybe in the future!
