Default Since When Are N64 Import Games Factory Sealed?

I was under the impression that famicom, super famicom and N64 import games were never factory sealed over in Japan. I've even bought several new N64 and super famicom import games that weren't factory sealed. But then I saw this on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ALL-STAR-DAIRANT...2em118Q2el1247

So my question is: have there always been factory sealed N64 import games that I just didn't know about or is this seller(who's in the United States) just trying to get more money with a shrink wrapped game? I'd be very interested in hearing from some of our Japan resident DP members.

Are there any packins with the game? I don't know enough about import N64 to comment, but the ones I'd gotten with my japanese n64 had no plastic.

Still, that seal looks an awful lot like a NES seal.

I have never seen a brand-new Japanese N64 game with shrinkwrap.
Normally they are just shut really tight, but this is new to me.

there was another thread recently where several people claimed that no games were factory shrink wrapped and that the stores did all their own shrink wrapping. I have no idea if this is true never worked the retail video game circuit so i have no personal experience.

As far as I know, no JPN nes/gens/snes were ever sealed. US games come to the store in factory shinkwrap though.

I purchased the Super Famicom version of "Super Dodge Ball" from a little mom and pop store a few years back that was sealed brand new. Nobody there even knew what the game was and they only charged me $15 for it.

You paid $15 for a reseal. SFC games were never sealed. Nor were Famicom, N64, Gameboy, GBA, etc.

I believe it goes up to Gamecube. Excluding games that came in bigger boxes like Nintendo Puzzle Collection.

Japanese GC, DS, and Wii games are the only things I know of that were sealed.
You're right about the others, though.

Were there any cart-based games that were sealed?

Apparently not from Nintendo but I'm unsure about the rest of the companies.
