I need to know the full AC power specifications for the SMS Model 2.
Voltage?
Amps?
Polarity?
Is the SMS 1 PSU compatible? I know the Genesis Model 1 may work, but it has 850milliamps and if I rememeber, the SMS Model 2 uses 1A.

Actually, the Genesis model 1 Power supply is 1.2A ...I'm almost for certain that the SMS 2 IS 1A as well.....But yes the Genesis model 1 and Sega Master System model 1 power supplies are complatible with the SMS2....They all have the IC power regulator just in case, nothing over 13A and as long as the Power supplies output DC + ----o)---- -

Many thanks!!
Now this is weird, and is something I've seen before...
When I use the original SMS power adapter, it works great. It also works with the Genesis Model 1 adapter, but I see a vertical, fat line moving from bottom to top, cycling over and over again. It's more of a transparent cylinder than a line, but still, it's there.
How can this be?

Some extra current.....while the SMS takes 15w 1A, I've seen many Genesis Power supplies in different flavors: 17w 1.2A, 20w 1.2A, 35w 1.2A, 10V 1.2A.....
