Yeah this probably isn't that big of a deal over here but for Microsoft it is. For a gaijin console maker to outsell the hometown boys is an unheard of feat. And this is mainly because in Japan they track their stats weekly. Although there are a few outlets that do this here in the US, the only real measuring stick that matters are the monthly NPD stats. Now for your daily reality check. The Wii still outsells both weekly, monthly and yearly. Furthermore, the 360 would have to do this about a thousand more times to become number 2 in Japan. But thats ok because they are still number 2 in the rest of the world and Sony is trying to cetch up to them.
