Yeah, whoever posted on the lot of boxed Atari 2600 games including The Music Machine that "had no idea what they're worth" in the Boston CL, only to reveal today it was an April Fool's gag... F you.
I'm guessing it had to be someone from here or AtariAge...

If you are still interested in the Atari 2600 items, please check out the youtube video:

I have had so many questions about the craigslist post that it has been difficult to keep up with all the email.

Also included as a bonus is a PSone in great shape, a memory card and a controller. Just plug it in and you're ready to enjoy this great game.

How many games have you bought that came with a bonus system-to-play-it-on?

Donate video games to local charity - $1 (Washington State)

Reply to: your anonymous craigslist address will appear here

Please do not sell your used video games to dealers on Craigslist who offer to "pay cash for your used Video Games.". They will not pay you what your games are worth. They will then turn around and sell your games at an inflated price. Instead, please donate your used Video Games to the local charity of your choice (Goodwill, etc). At least then the profits made will benefit people.

Oh, in order to make this post legit and not get tagged, I am selling a used NES Duck Hunt game for $300 (of course you would probably be better off donating $300 to a local charity).

    Thank You

That's a pretty weird sales tactic, but the price isn't bad at all.

It's time to play "How would you respond?", the fun Craigslist game where you get a true mouthbreather on your hands, troll for a bit and then decide "How would I respond?"

    Today's contestant:

    Movies and Games

    I have a movie collection over 1,000 movies. (DVD's)
Let me know which movies your interested in buying and I'll give you a price.

I also have on VHS the entire collection of Disney. (VHS player as well)

For Playstation, I have Tony Hawk 1,2,3, and various others.

    Old School Nintendo
    I have every game made.

Replys go to my cell phone, will respond quickly.
So I send an email and the following email chain ensues:

    Port to sale-ysyv6-240.

show details 3:13 PM (1 hour ago)

    > Old School Nintendo
    > I have every game made.

That's a pretty bold claim. Any chance you have a list, both NES and PS1?
    from }I{ buttrfly1107@yahoo.com

No list, just decided today to sell them.. I'm not going to make one until I have a buyer.

    Subject: Re: Games for sale

You're selling almost 800 NES games and won't furnish a list?
    }I{ to me

show details 3:22 PM (1 hour ago)

Dude, I just said I haven't fuckin made a list YET. I posted this ad five min ago. I'm not gonna make a list until someone is interested. Chill, give me a few min.

I'm interested, that's why I sent you this email. :P
So a newly titled email pops up.

Why even make an ad if you're going to cut and paste a list from wikipedia when someone asks for a list?

I want to know what I'm buying here. How am I supposed to make an offer when I don't know what you're even selling? If you didn't have that information, why make the ad?

I'm still interested if you put a list together.

No Thanks, I have like 25 responses already. I have every game. If you would like to purchase, they are 5ea, send your list.. If not, please dont bother me.
25 responses... of people asking just what the fuck she's selling.

Haha, right. Sure you do. You probably have 20-30 and to you, that's "every game".

So you're selling several games worth over $100 each (a few over $500) for $5? Sucks to be you.
Since I'm clearly dealing with a mouthbreather, I get a little vitrolic. In response, I get the ultimate response:

    Cheryl }}i{{ to me

sweetie, im 29yrs old. I model. Im female. I dont give a shit how much these games are worth. My brother passed away and I'm selling his games to pay for his memorial service. So go fuck yourself. 5ea, I counted hundreds and hundreds of games. do not contact me again.
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Clearly a response like this requires some sort of retort. Ok DP, now it's your turn to play How would you respond? Here's the original ad. She added the Wikipedia list after she sent it to me.

    http://newjersey.craigslist.org/vgm/2400201501.html

She may be telling the truth about her dead brother, but let's be honest, it's one of the worst attempts at selling on CL I've ever seen. She is definitely fitting the stereotype of a model, that's for damn sure.

"My brother passed away and I'm selling his games to pay for his memorial service".

That's funny cause she told me this when I e-mailed her,

"My daughters tuition is due today."

She also jacked up the price from $5 to $7 a cart, and I think the list she gave me was a bit shorter.

Ok, having a ridiculous price is one thing. Maybe the seller doesn't know the Ebay value. But straight up lying about the Ebay price is just over the top.
