Default Arcade Auction Brockton, MA Nov. 8th

Is anyone hitting this one up? It will be nice to go to a local auction, instead of driving 4 hours to NJ/PA! Too bad this place shut down. I went there a bunch of time when they were in Somerville.

wow, a auction in our neck of the woods?
I bet its all newer stuff?

Never went to good times, but I heard it was the spot for ddr.
Do they have any true classics?

Last time I had gone, which was about two years ago or so (?), I think I remember seeing a Galaga, Ms. Pac., and a few others.

It's worth going because it's up here, though I doubt I will get something, as times are tough, but it is always fun to go to auctions. My only fear is that, given the amount of stuff up for grabs, and the size of the building, it will be a mad house!

    so tempted...

I've been waiting for a local galaxian to come up, and would go just to see if one is auctioned off..

not too far, about an hours drive for me. I live on the cape.

    hmm.

It's a superauction. From what I understand, if you wait around long enough they bring out older stuff and stuff that needs some work that you can get amazing deals on. I'm planning on going to the one in St. Louis the end of next month.

It's a SuperAuction, but they're selling the contents of one place in particular. The contents are listed on that flyer. No older stuff listed on there.

I am almost 100% certain I will be going. Not sure if I will buy anything, but I am bringing some cash anyway.

Welp, rain on SAT afternoon/evening! Typical. This is probably going to be a long auction (if you stay to the end). Hopefully they do the machines first. Good thing is, even if it rains SAT, we can pick up the equip SUN or MON (would have ot be SUN for me). So..

No, lots of overpriced equipment. Everybody kinda went nuts on the bidding....was hoping for some affordable stuff. Sadly, there wasn't too much of that there.

My brother got $250 off for taking his shirt off and screaming at the beginning of the auction (yeah, that was him), so we tried to make a run at a pac man cocktail table. The thing went for $1k, stupid high price even with the $250 off. I did walk away with these though:

    A pretty sweet Bass mirror:

    And a Kegerator!

The Kegerator is taking the place of my Namco Cyber Lead cab, seems like a fitting replacement. Lots of overpriced stuff, but still a fun time.

Aw man, a local arcade auction and I missed the thread? Damn!
Oh well, I was working that day anyway, and I didn't have any extra money.
Still, it would have been a blast to just check it out.
