    Default Dreamcast isn't reading game.

So, I just bought a copy of MvC2 and I tried it on my DC. However, it just loads the Sega logo, then goes back to the system's main menu.

Every other game I own works fine and I've never had that 'self-reset' problem before. The disc it absolutely clean and no scratches/dust or the like. Last time I had a problem like this was because the previous game was scratched to hell and just wouldn't work.

My DC is also hella old, manufactured August 99. I don't think that should mean anything but throwing it out there just in case.

So, I beg of anyone to throw any suggestions out there. I don't know anybody else personally who owns a DC so I can't check if it's the game or not. I read about fixing the laser or whatever and I'll probably do that as a last resort but I'm unreliable for that kind of fixing and I might fuck up my DC good. Help!
And don't bring up that stupid girlie Aladdin rip off! Shantea?

if it's just that one game not working it could be a bad disc. sometimes they have scratches on the label side, those will pretty much make the disc useless.
