Was at the convention this weekend, didn't buy much.
    Saturn:
Sonic Wings Special ($25) - Just missing spine, complete otherwise and great
    DVD:
Cromartie High the Movie ($20) - Watched it earlier this year, had to pick up
Spirit Warrior DVD Collection ($30) - No clue, looked cool
    Manga:
Trigun Maximum Vol. 4 - I've had the hardest time finding this volume locally

Then after leaving the convention today, went by a thrift store down the road:
    TG-16:
    TV Sports Football
    World Class Baseball
    Power Golf
    Keith Courage in Alpha Zones
$2.25 each, all in cases with manuals and hucard sleaves. Not too often TG games show up and I need to expand the system game selection.

    Playstation:
In the Hunt ($2) - Long box release, pretty suprised to see it as I wanted the Saturn release but can settle with PS for now.

Also picked up a house record dated 1990 pressed in Italy but in English and had Japanese written on it, two early 80's disco singles remixed, and a hip-hop record from '93.

Also, I've got a question for you. When you said that "for them to make 60% profit on that they would have to sell them at ridiculous prices", did you mean that they would have to mark up the prices to 60% more than what they gave me in credit?
Still a used shop, they probably run along the same ideals of a pawnshop. Anyway, most pawnshops that I know give the seller 40% of the price that they would sell it at, so they need to make $10 for every $4 that they spend.

Standard practice, they're there to make money afterall, and lots of it off of something people don't care to take the time to sell privately.

I say to myself "deal of a lifetime (kinda)" I buy it I says on a sticky note it works, so I am happy. I bring it home and test it on my TV, I get a red blinking light so I said "no problem, I will clean the game". I did this, now there is no picture on the screen. I am like what the ****, next I bring it to my bed room still no picture. I test it on my spare tv, no picture. I try giggling the RF adapter thinking that is the problem, still nothing. So I bring it back to the lady and tell her "i'ts not showing picture" "she said well my husband and kids were playing it last night". I am think to my self then why the hell are you selling it. Then again maybe she needs money. So She looks at to make sure it's hers, eventually I get my $25.00 back. I said "Thank You", and over course she said "Your Welcome"
I said as walking to the car "son of **** the one time I find something I want I get screwed.
BTW: does anyone know what could have caused to picture at all? There was no more blinking red light. I tried googling it and anothing came up, I am thinking the RF cable.
Unless you're going for the retro experience, avoid RF. Plug in any old composite cables and see what you get from that. If you go back and she still has it, ask her about what connection she used, what game she knew worked, etc.

If you must use RF, check the channel switch. If all else fails, the RF or the NES is bad. I personally have a few bad NES RFs.

Went on a little vacation over the weekend, but didn't find much. I got a couple PS2 games cheap at TRU, and also found a Megaman NT Warrior Battlechip Collector case. Picked it up for 90 cents. I guess unless I can find all the other stuff for it, it is pretty much useless.

Cross posted from Import Mania -- ya'll should look there more often

I snagged a fantastic deal on a Game Boy lot from one of my fave sellers on Y!J. It's a 37 game lot (all boxed) + a GB pocket -- ~$40 shipped.

Sorry about the dark pics -- I can take better pics when it's not 2am if anybody gives a damn.

sorry buy not to spam up this up but, I even tried the composite cables and still no picture. So I am guessing bad nes. I tried switching channels on both the NES with rf and composite. so bad nes I guess.

My first day in Florida this week, and already something good!

    Final Fantasy 7!!

The three discs are the original release, but the case is greatest hits. They look pretty good, but I do not know if they work or not. (I didn't bring my PS2 with me on the trip)
Sadly, it did not have the manual.

The Goodwill that I bought it from was certainly odd. The lady wanted to charge me $9 for it because it was a three-disc game. I wonder how much it would have been if it was not a three-disc game?
Anyway, I'm putting this right up on eBay as soon as I get back home. If anyone wants it before then, please PM me with a deal.
    In Heaven, everything is fine.

I got some serious value out of that game back in 02. I worked for 3 months in the Canadian arctic that winter and I had my new-ish PS2 with only NHL02 and Red Faction. Man, did we ever play the hell out of those two games.

I still love Red Faction's multiplayer. Except when a bot has that damn rail gun!

Veteran's Day, so Unique Thrift and Savers had 50% off everything sales (I struck out at SA).

Pretty random hodgepodge of stuff. Game.com didn't seem to work until I found one of those inset reset buttons, and it seems to be fine now. GBC is missing the battery cover, but for 1.80 I can't argue. Thought it was cool to find a boxed Pico, so I maybe overpaid for it (17.50). Everything in the pictures was (including Sally, but not Lightning) was 37.40.

My wife and I went to San Francisco for our anniversary this weekend, we did a ton of walking and I happened upon a video game store that's only been open for about three months. They carry gameboy, sms, nes, and newer games. The don't currently have a huge inventory but I picked up Castle of Illusion for the SMS for $10, maybe not a great price, but I've never seen it in the wild. They also had some Saturn stuff, import stuff I think as they had some converts also. If you're in the bay area you might want to drop in.

    I paid $20.00 for 6 NES games:

    1. Super Mario Bros.
    2. Super Mario Bros. 2
    3. Super Mario Bros. 3
    4. Donkey Kong Classics
    5. Legend of Zelda
    6. Legend of Zelda 2

3 of them had the black NES sleeves and the Legend of Zelda 2 had instructions. I know I overpaid but don't really care

I'd say you got a fair price for those.

If we go by eBay prices, you just saved like fifty bucks.
