    Default Weekend finds: 5/16-5/18

Got 2 4.99 new PSX games:

Mr. Driller and Fatal Fury: Wild Ambition. Hastings has a ton of 4.99 games (to compete with TRU?). If I had more money, I'd go back and buy more...

I also have NFL Blitz: SE (N64) coming from ebay. Complete for 8.99!

Cool find on the Frogger ! Let me know if you're interested in trading or selling it (my e-mail is arc@lvcm.com, my trade page is http://users.lvcm.com/arc)

I didn't find too much today - a few C64 and Atari computer carts. One of the Atari computer carts is light blue without any label. I don't have an Atari computer right now - any one have an idea of what it is?

I have a question, notice the mattel football cartridge, it has a white label with black letters, instead of the normal black label w/blue letters that mattel 2600 games normally have. Is this just a variation or is it supposed to be this way? Please help thanks!

You'll notice the 2600 Star Raiders complete I got today. Woohoo, its very nice too, only thing is, its missing the comic book , other than that its top notch condition. The Imagic game is Fathom.

After a couple of busy weeks without looking, I had some finds today.
    At the flea market:
A Japanese Bomber Man game for N64, $15
Mouse Trap (w/ a sticker on the back saying, "Bonus Cartridge included with Gemini Purchase. Non-Refundable") for 2600, $2
    StarGunner for 2600, $2
Beauty and the Beat for Intellivision, $2
    Quickshot joystick, $1
    Tandy joystick, $1
    At the thrift store:
    FF:Mystic Quest for SNES, $3.99
    Drakkhen for SNES, $3.99
Dinosaurs for Hire for Genesis, $1.99
Also, for free I found a box with instructions for Demon Attack for the Vic 20. Unfortunately, no game inside.

My game suppliers ran out of some item or other, so they let me have two pretty nondescript original MSX (i.e. 1985) titles AND

Gargoyle's Quest 2, Japanese Version (c. 1992--was there a reprint? That sounds late to me, but then again it doesn't seem to be)

in place of that. Basically, I got Gargoyle's Quest, complete with a perfect cartridge and manual, for $10.

    Not a bad catch.

Do you mean Yu-Gi-Oh? Don't kill me if you hate that game and I don't know of Gekioh, but that's what it sounds like.

@ Ed - Just played Gekioh a little bit. Pretty good...not as frantically paced as some of the shmups I've played lately, but a lot of fun. I acutually enjoyed having more firepower than my opponents for once!!!

I definitely recommend it, especially if you get it in the 2 for 1 sale at TRU.

Thanks man! Nothing quite like a stream of fire from your direction taking up a quarter of the screen to warm the spirit :)

I did lots of garage sales in the past few days. I found:

    Oddworld: Abe's Odysee--complete $3
Legend of Zelda--loose $6 (it was in really nice shape. i was like "ah, what the hell")
    SNES Sunset Riders--loose $2
    SNES Super Metroid--loose $2
    Gen Shining Force--loose $1 (!)
    SNES Slam Masters--loose $1
    SNES Lagoon--loose $1

I checked out Toys R' Us also, and picked up Parappa the Rapper 2 for $20, but got Tomb Raider 1 for free. Not bad.

Eh, my home town held a city wide garage sale today throughout the entire downtown area. I walked the whole thing, and only found one guy with anything. But at least, I bought something from him!

    Super Mario RPG - SNES - Loose - $2

Last night my wife picked up a N64 Conkers bad fur day..in box for $2.00 from block buster..for me.
I still have a sealed copy of this game..but I only paid $15.00 for it new..
It's sickening when you see these games that cheap.

    She also bought me..
    Two PS games..for $2.99
Prisoner of War..(both Xbox)..and Turok Evolution for $10.00 each
    Ps2 HAVEN... complete for $6.99...

I stayed up all night..to go to the flea market..early,..early..
I picked up that (heavy ) Virtual Boy Store display unit I spoke about.. $70.00
I'll take some pictures of it soon..
It has a not for resale demo cart of Wario Land in it..

Then my wife went to the flea market again (today)..She picked my up a Wonder Wizard pong system for$5.00,.I boxed starting line-up talking baseball (big) tabletop electronic game, with an extra boxed cartridge($3.00)
A tiger head to head talking baseball handheld.($1.00)..some GameBoy color headphone radios..2 bigger radios and a smaller one...$3.00 each.
    A Gameboy color clock keychain..$1.00.
    She also got me a mega N64 memory card (boxed $1.00)and a dual N64 rumble pack/memory card combo..for $1.00

    My wife is the best..

The only thing I missed out on was a Telstar Arcade machine..
It was missing the cart and part of the steering wheel....but he sold it for only $5.00..
He sold it five minutes before she got there.

Oh well..I can't win them all..but I bet I'll see it listed on Ebay..
