There's a new store opening up here (or already may have been opened) in South Florida called Gorilla Games. How is this store? I checked the site and their prices seemed kinda high. Maybe the B&M stores are different?

Well the locations section only shows one location, in Mississippi. Not that anything like that would ever open up around the Hollywood area, probably wouldn't be smart since there's a Gamestop literally every 5-10 minutes away, but it would be nice to have a store that sold Pre PS2 games tho.

Seems pretty high to me...

Super Metroid is a game you'd want. Madden isn't. They could charge $300 for Barbie's Horse Adventure but it wouldn't matter because it's already a game you'd never buy.

1. Super Metroid is not even in-stock online.
2. Their B&M store did not have classic games.
3. Most of their prices reflect Madden 06 where they are vastly overpriced compared to 99.99% (if not 100%) of other game retailers.

By the way, are you going to head over to the mall to check it out? They could use a customer or two, considering the fact that I was the only person in the store. Heh.

I don't know if I'll end up in Boynton this weekend. But it's possible.

I can see where they wouldn't have any classic games from the get-go. I'd like to see what their stock looks like in 6 months though. Classic games would also be the only reason for me to really shop there.

Anyway, I checked out the store today. It's quite possibly the worst game store I've ever set foot in. They offer nothing new and overcharge on everything. Plus, their price tags do not tell if the game is new or used, and their new games are gutted ala Gamestop. The fact that they also have no classic games is also bad. Why did they even open if they offer less than Gamestop and at higher prices to boot?

I haven't been to the Boynton Mall in a few years. Looks like I won't be going any time soon.

The Wellington Green Mall has a classic/new game store called Console Game Xchange (CGX). I have been there a few times and it is a waste of time also. High prices on classic games and poor selection.

Not to mention half the time they won't sell you the shit they have. I've posted the story in another thread, but I had a headache of a time trying to buy a TurboGrafx from them last year. In the end I took my gift cards and got an overpriced nomad just so I could be done with them. Haven't been back since.

I had a problem trying to buy a NEO-GEO. It wasn't a great deal but I would rather buy a system in person. Turns out the asking price was more then what it was marked, A lot more. It is probably still there.
