Japanese Arcade Machine Manufacturers Association - If I remember right. It's basically a Pin-out standard that Arcade creators settled on in the mid-eighties, if memory serves me. It's been a while. You can start looking for more info here www.arcaderestoration.com, there's a lot of links on this site. What were you interested in specifically? Buying, selling, building?

The Neo Geo MVS motherboard is essentially a JAMMA PCB with a slot(s) for the MVS cartridges. This means that it can be (sometimes with minor alteration due to a slight anormality in the control scheme) put into and used in any JAMMA compatible arcade machine. That's "most" mid to late 80s games, on into the early 90s. I think www.klov.com might have some more information on exactly what was and wasn't JAMMA, and what was non-standard.

The JAMMA standard means that if you've got a JAMMA compatible machine, you can put any other JAMMA PCB (game board) in it and have it work with minimal stress.

Hope that helps at least a little =)

System 16 has Jamma and Neo Geo pinouts, if you're curious.
