    Default My first Arcade Cabinet!!!!!!!!!

    Mr. Do!

I found it at a thrift store Friday evening. The volume and colors need some adjustment but other than that it works great. The cabinet needs some cleaning and touch-up but that won't be a problem for me.

I can make it purty and I've got my brother in law the electronics wiz to help with the rest.

Outstanding! I really wanted to bid on a Mr.Do! at the last auction I was at.

So I gotta ask...how much did it set you back?

    Nice find!!!

I was quite shocked to see it at a thrift myself. I was told it came in with 2 others, a golf game and Dig Dug. wish I'd been there to nab that one too but I'm not complaining.

I don't know if I overpaid or not but I coughed up $290.00 for it. I thought that was pretty good.

I've already found the Technincal Manual for it online and some tips on how to adjust the monitor.

Now there's the mystery of what that cab was before it was a Mr. Do!

    Looks like an old Stratovox

I also found my first arcade game at a thrift store (good will).
It was a flaky Elevator Action with some video problems. ($45.00)

The goof balls at the store layed it down with the key still in the lock...snapped it right off.

I have seen an original Pong cabinate at a thrift before, had no monitor and looked pretty beaten.

@xertcev: that Stratovox pic looks exactly like the cabinet I found. I wonder how difficult it would be to find the board and marquee and convert it back. MAybe I'll get lucky and find a dedicated Mr Do! that was converted to a Stratavox. ha ha!
