Starfox 2 on Wii

Does anyone know if the Starfox 2 rom that's floating around out there works on the SNES emulator for the Wii? I found a rom and patched it, but when I try it in the emulator I hear music, but all I get is a black screen and then some yellow flashes. Is this a bad rom or is it the emulator? I'm using SNES9x for Wii.

Why did you patch the ROM?

Mine works fine on the Wii emulator. It's not patched though, so maybe that's the problem?

So it's in English and the debugging info is removed.

Yup, I just have the straight up ROM.

Now Starfox 2 is a game that needs to find its way onto the Virtual Console!
