What is your favorite Star Wars game?
Star Wars anything is awsome but lets narrow it down to a game right now.

You know what? I'm gonna be a total Luddite and say the original Star Wars arcade from the early '80s. I know I'm supposed to go for the latest and prettiest version of Star Wars, but I don't think there was anything that really caught me the way the original coin-op did. That's probably more nostalgia than anything, but, hey, most of the Star Wars games are the same thing, anyway.

id have to go with all 3 SNES games, Super Star Wars, Super Empire Strikes Back, and Super Return of the Jedi.... All three are great games, and are hard as crap, another reason I love them so much =)

I'd take Super Empire as the best of the three SNES... and my favorite overall. I just really really enjoyed that one considering I *gasp* can't stand the Star Wars series.

Holy crap. It's been a while.
I agree. The original vector graphic game was the best.Originally Posted by Daniel Thomas
the original stand up arcade machine. as far as modern games go, i really like Bounty Hunter for GCN.
Chalk up another vote for the original vector arcade classic.
The Empire conversion kit is close second, and even the raster Jedi game is superior to *any* of the other home and arcade titles.
Gimme the original arcade trilogy any day.

the popular opinion is that this game SUCKS ASS but my favorite is:
Star Wars: Masters of Teras Kasi
I dunno, maybe it's just the juvenile entertainment provided by playing as slave Leia and executing her nutcracker move. I mean c'mon what guy in the 30 something crowd HASN'T fantasized about Carrie Fisher in that outfit thrusting some part of her body in that general vicinity.
haven't played all the PC games but from a console point of view I really enjoyed Star Wars Demolition for the Dreamcast, its good to destroy
Games, games and more games
I can think of three that stand out: The original arcade game, the Super series on SNES, and the Gamecube Rogue squadron.
I'd probably give the nod to the arcade version. But the GC game is pretty freaking amazing (although I suck at it).

X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter and Balance of Power expansion.
I loved all of the X-Wing series of computer flight sims, and XvTie just kicked up the speed and intensity another level. While XvTie didn't have anything resembling a coherent storyline, that was supplied in the expansion pack. Actually, it was sort of the reverse of the usual, in that the initial release was more like a "mission pack".
Anyway, I like the computer flight sim games because they tend to have a greater level of complexity in control and mission objectives, although the consoles are starting to catch up.
I've had a copy of X-Wing Alliance waiting for my attention for quite a while now, but unfortunately, I still haven't set up my desktop computer at home...

I'm a Star Wars nut. Here are my picks:
1. Original Star Wars arcade game. I remember going to Disneyland as a kid and they seemed to have hundreds of these at one time. It was a real thrill as a kid.
2. The latest Sega triology game - I have beat it on two credits. It hurts the hands after a while though.
3. Jedi Knight 2 - fun game
4. Any of the action games like Starfighter for the PS2
I'm really looking forward to Galaxies coming out... On another note, the worst one I've played so far is Rebellion. It was a $50 coaster for me.
Hell yeah, there's nothing like it! The control yoke, the true feel of how you would imagine being in an xwing using luke's targeting computer... all it needed was that fat guy yelling "STAY ON TARGET" and then getting fried!Originally Posted by Griking
