    Default Guncon 2 Questions

I saw today a few Guncon 2 controllers for sale for $5 a piece, but I wasn't to sure if everything was included, so I passed. They were orange, and the cable coming out of it had one USB and one male yellow RCA. I've never played these guns before (other than Time Crisis in arcade), so I don't know what I need.

Looking around on ebay it looks like I'm missing some kind of pass through cable for the RCA, but I can't clearly see what it is. Can someone explain this to me? And is there a generic cable I could pick up at Radio Shack that would serve the same purpose? And what about 2 player, my intention would be to pick up Time Crisis 2/3 for some 2-player action.

I guess it boils down to me figuring out if it is cheaper to piece-meal this together or to just grab a complete package off ebay...

You are missing the extra RCA connector cable. You can easily get a Y-adapter (1 Male/2 Female type) and an extra RCA wire if you need it and hook it up like that. If you are hooking up your PS2 via an S-Video connection, its easiest to use the Sony AV Adapter. You just hook that up to your PS2 first, then the GunCon2 RCA into that. At the bottom of the adapter is where you hook up the regular PS2 S-Video cables. That's the exact way I have mine hooked up as well.
I attached a pic of how to connect the GunCon2 to your TV and PS2 as well as a pic of the Sony AV Adapter. Hope it helps!

Thanks! That diagram helps. I'm pretty sure I've got one of those Y-adapters lying around somewhere anyways.

I guess I can just daisy chain Y-adapters for 2 guns then?

That's the idea. But don't expect any decent results from 2 players on one console. It's the worst implementation of split-screen co-op i've ever seen. You can get a second disc and hook 2 ps2 together with a firewire cable for usable co-op play.

Good to know. We have 2 PS2s, but we aren't anywhere near set up for a 2 TV setup. I'll pick up 2 guns anyways if they are still there this weekend. Thanks guys.

'Tis the truth for Time Crisis 2 & 3 (not sure about Crisis Zone), however, both Vampire Night and Virtua Cop Elite Edition/Rebirth have 2 player action on a single screen...

    Question Guncon2 adaptors

Thank you so much for the pics and advice!

Here's the dumb question - where's the best place to get the cables?
