    Default interactive DVD games

I was cleaning up and sorting some store stock when I came across this one

Scorge of Worlds a Dungeons & Dragons Adventure interactive DVD.

Hmm I knew about Dragon's Lair I&II and Space Ace and Who Shot Johnny Rock but figured that was it.

I looked for a thread but couldn't find it. Is there a listing of DVD games somewhere?

I know Digital Leisure had a crapton of them at one time. Here's a list of what they've had via interactive DVDs at one time:

    Dragon's Lair
    Dragon's Lair II: Time Warp
    Dragon's Lair III
    Space Ace
    Mad Dog McCree
Mad Dog McCree II: The Lost Gold
    Crime Patrol
    Thayer's Quest
    Shadaon
    Space Pirates
    The Last Bounty Hunter
    Drug Wars
    Who Shot Johnny Rock?
    Hologram Time Traveller
    (Linky-poo)
I also remember Dracula Unleashed as a DVD player game. Also a Tomb Raider DVD only game. (Think it was called "Lara Croft Action Adventure" or something.) Also there have been a bunch of gameshows as interactive DVD games. And if we want to deal with boardgames that have a DVD as part of gameplay (Scene It comes to mind) there's a whole new can of worms.

Maybe this link may give you a few more titles.

/I used to collect them, but grew quickly bored with the format....

There was a company that had some interactive movies that you could control the storyline at key junctures. I picked up a couple of them, one of which was Gravity Angels. It was apparently based on their company's web based games, and you used to be able to play them on their site, although that was years ago. They were all rendered with dated looking 3D models that must have been around the same complexity of your average Quake II models. Gravity Angels was interesting, there was one where a kid becomes a mutant after going to a carnival, and another one about a kid being hunted by a werewolf. I always like those 'choose your own adventure' books as a kid, so I bought some of these, but the low quality animation killed it for me.

There's some anime DVDs I've seen in a computer store that are also interactive from a company called Hirameki. One that looked really cutesy and kid-friendly, and another about gun-toting teenage assassins. I can't remember the name of the company that puts them out, though. I do remember going to their site years ago and seeing that they stopped doing regular DVDs and switched over to making them PC only software.

I have a game called "Tender Loving Care", which was Trilobyte's (The 7th Guest, The 11th Hour) last project before they folded. The game is also available on the PC. It's kinda weird because it uses passwords to determine how you're doing in the game and the choices you made.

Indeed. Infinite Ventures released both Dracula Unleashed and Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective on regular DVD. Their websites folded so they are no longer available. I myself have Sherlock Holmes and have been trying to find a copy of Dracula Unleashed but to no avail...

This site has a lot of info on FMV's and, I believe, a full list of all FMvs released to date on every system...
Mika: Where are you taking me, Gillian?
Gillian: To look at videos on YouTube...
Mika: *sigh* No more videos of a drunk Harry dancing with a dead Snatcher...
Giliian: Nope, it's better...Its LiquidPolicenauts YouTube Videos!
Gillian: And after that, you should also visit
