I've got the PSP version. I think it's pretty nifty. VERY minor load times, graphics are nice and sharp, controls are fine. I recommend it if you have a PSP and need some fighting action.

I have the PS2 version and it's not as bad as the reviews make it out to be. The load times are just 3-7 seconds and usually there's no loading after the 1st match for the older games. 94 doesn't have any load time at all. I'd say 98 is the worst of the collection as the load times are a bit longer and the announcer glitches, however I'm not going to be playing that one much after I get 98 Ultimate Match. I have not noticed any blurriness or control problems (I play on a PS3 60GB+HDTV btw). I just wish the arranged soundtrack could be used in game. What the hell were they thinking including it on the disc but not actually being able to play with it?
Samurai Shodown Anthology is being made by the same company and from what I've heard will turn out the same way unfortunately.
Also, I can't believe someone would actually recommend the Saturn versions of 95/96/97. Have you actually played them? They are even worse than the US PS2 collection. Loading times are longer and occur everywhere, even between rounds.
How big can you make the characters beard?
