Default How do you clean 9-pin joystick ports?

Are there any good methods of cleaning the pins in these tight spaces? I'd like to give the joystick ports of several consoles a good cleaning with alcohol but can't find anything small enough to reach in (qtips won't fit). Any suggestions, thanks.
