I hope they realize they won't sell much unless they move into retail sale. Oh, and lower that price.
Jack of all trades master of none based on the number of things it does my guess is that its an x86 based computer

I believe it is a PC that's been consolized. You would think they'd look at the track record of such endeavors and work out that it's a losing proposition. Nobody wants a game console that crashes a lot and requires constant antivirus protection.
Man, I was having a really hard time figuring out what a "Smart Console" had to do with the SNES game EVO. That thing's...interesting. I agree that it's probably just an x86 computer.

the best things in life are those moments unexpected...
Well im not buying one.......i think there wasting there time............
the xbox and 360 are just x86 computers shoved into a pretty case. hell the controllers on the original xbox were using straight up usb and just had custom connectors on the end. the only good thing about it is it allows the developers to not have to deal with hundreds of thousands of possible hardware configs. the downside by the time a console like the 360 launches its already just an outdated computer.

I'm pretty sure the Xbox and 360 are more than just glorified PCs. The fact that they boot up in mere seconds and are a standard and highly optimized design make them great for both developers and users alike. The Xbox and 360 might not be at the same level as a new high end PC in overall performance, but they are at the highest end of the scale for console performance in their respective generations. The fact is that all modern console designs are more or less similar to how PCs are designed and this has been the case since at least the mid-90s. They're all just a processor, memory, some type of graphics unit and some custom chips neatly arranged in a case with some ports and an optical drive or cartridge slot.
