Default My RGB PCE Duo-R for your RGB Turbo Duo or RGB Supergrafx+CD

As the subject implies, I have a PC Engine Duo-R system that works perfectly and has an internal RGB modification. I want to trade it for your Turbo Duo system (must have RGB modification) or Super Grafx (must have RGB modification) + CD drive. Make sure backups work fine.

This is for a straight up trade only. I am not selling my PC Engine Duo-R!

    thanks!

Out of curiosity why do you want to do that trade? Also do you want a US Turbo Duo system, or a PC Engine Duo system that is RGB modded?

I just want the Turbo Duo since it's smaller and I like the darker color (all my other systems with the exception of NES and SNES are darker).

Would you be ok with a PC Engine Duo or does it have to be US Duo? Also do you have pics of your Duo-R?

A PC Engine Duo is fine just as long as it has an RGB internal modification inside and it's the darker, smaller system. Also must be able to read CD-R's just fine.

Picture of my Duo-R is here:

It comes with a special hacked AV playstation cable that lets you use playstation AV cables (in my case, a SCART RGB cable). If I could get something similar with the Duo I want, that' would be great!

You are aware of the sound issue with the normal Duo, right?

I would hope that whoever did the RGB mod would have changed out the caps while they were in there.

i heard about it before but is that something that could be fixed? another reason I want a PC Engine Duo is because my MGD2 adapter doesn't fit in my Duo-R and I am pretty sure it will fit in the PCE Duo.

Yeah, caps can be replaced. Now MGD2 adapter in PCE Duo? EVERY Duo system (US and JP) share the same AV port cable, and they dont work with the MGD2 adapter.

MGD2 has nothing to do with an AV port at all. The MGD2 is supposed to go into the HuCard slot and allow you to load games to it's memory (I have an 8mb SRAM card) via floppy disks (or a PC). The problem in the case of the Duo-R is the MGD2 adaptor will not fit in the HuCard slot because of the design of the Duo-R, but I am pretty sure it fits in a regular Duo (it deffinitely fits in a regular PC Engine and Super Grafx).

I thought MGD2 meant Megadrive 2 for some reason. What is the MGD2, there were only 2 Duo flashcarts I was aware of but they weren't called MGD2. Any links on this?

if you are still interested in this Trade i will soon be RGB modding my spare PC Engine Duo and replacing the caps in the pre/post amp area (as a precaution for future headaches). I can keep you posted, not sure exactly when it will be done because I am doing some more mod work for some members.
