hey I never knew about this magazine. Is there any sample pages so I can see what the content is like?

Got my issue today. Happy to receive a new volume of VGT, but I have a few problems with it.
First, the cover looks unprofessional. The overall composition is fine as is the use of color, but the tacky photograph with the unofficial looking light cycle that was used in the front center felt really unwelcome as either a deliberate move or accidental inclusion.
Second, the paper of the cover and pages felt like it was using a more inexpensive, thinner stock than previous issues, though I suppose it might have just been the cover.
Third, the volume seemed light on content. Usually VGT has half its content as articles in the front, then the next quarter as the price listings, then finally a few more articles and comics to make up the last quarter. This issue had very few articles and it seemed like the number of pages devoted to the listings was more than that for the articles!
Fourth, the history of TRON games article read like the author had just done some rudimentary research on a few of them as it didn't really mention much about how the games played, which game mechanics were used, or their quality. In particular I'm thinking of the section on TRON 2.0.
Overall though I enjoyed the issue. I'm happy to see that the retail games market has been kind to you and that you and your publication are still lively and publishing.![]()
Got mine. Glad to see this project back on track.![]()

Is this magazine still around?

Doesn't look like it. The store itself is still up and going but no info on anything past issue 35, which was winter of 2015. Looks like they went quarterly towards the end (basically seasonal). I dropped away from writing and editing for them a few years before the end and completely lost touch.
