Vectorman, Vectorman 2, Landstalker, Sonic and Knuckles, Toe Jam and Earl, Magic School Bus, Wonderboy in Monster Land, Mario Party 2 and Jungle Book (nes) - $17
Good swap meet find.
not a bad stop at movie trading company today:
Tengen Tetris $7.99
JVC X'eye complete with JVC controller and AC adapter $29.99
also got both Zelda 64 games for $5 each off Craigslist
Those are some good deals Jeffg. The X-Eye and Tetris cart are both worth much more than what you paid for them.

$3.99 each, I don't understand Goodwills pricing but I'm not going to complain.
(PS1) Valkyrie Profile - Complete $5
How come I never find good shit like this at my fleas

No pictures, I reinstalled XP last night and I haven't gotten all my software back.
Today, I found:
Diablo Battle Chest - complete - $2
Monty Python's Complete Waste of Time strategy guide (WTF?!) - $1!
Fable: The Lost Chapters (PC CD, no manual) - $3
Warcraft III (CD + key) - $2
I also got a couple of really, REALLY old PC games. Like 18 years old at least. They were brand new, apparently the booth owner got some sort of packing box from this particular company and opened it. It had two games, an accounting program, and I forget what else. They're on floppies so I'm going to open them and -hope- I can copy the discs to IMG files.
hellfire:
A swapmeet is another name for a flea market or a car boot sale. I didn't think the name was used outside of California or Arizona, I've never seen it anywhere but t/here.
I was feeling a bit cooped up in my house, so I went browsing through the local Value Village. All I found was "The Official Pokemon Diamond & Pearl Full Pokedex Guide" for $4.99 (MSRP 24.95). I figured it will come in handy when I finally get around to finishing Pokemon Diamond.
I don't swing that way.
I forgot to mention that I also found a near mint copy of D2 for the Dreamcast for $2. No manual, though.
Things have been rather slow lately. Today was pretty typical of late.
N64 controller (perfect stick) $2
GBA charger $2
Tandy Baseball LED handheld $1
Mario 64 $5
MGS4 Strategy Guide (new) $2
All that was from visiting 4 thrifts, except the guide, which was from CC clearance. I'd stopped there planning to pick up some DS screen protectors, but they were still $6, which is more than the stupid things are worth.
I did finally register with Goodwill for their silent auctions ($20 one time fee) so I could bid on a complete NES deluxe set minus the outer box. We'll see how that goes.
picked up killzone 2 tonight at the monopoly we all know as Gamestop... a couple weeks ago picked Valkrie profiles 2 (ps2) as well as Vagrant stories (ps1) for about $15 and $20 each. (of course killzone dos was $59.99)
Yeah, Swap Meet means something else where I'm from. In my area it's not a general flea market(with sellers with all sorts of wares), it's more of a specific type of sale with sellers all having similar types of items. It can be for any hobby or type of items, from video games to motorcycles to kids toys and clothing.
There will be a video game swap meet in April I'm looking forward to, every time it happens there's always great stuff to get.
I haven't really found anything in awhile, I'm hoping it'll get better in my area(or I'll have to wait for the meet to get anything).
Back from Atlanta! All of this came from the excellent shop, Waba Game.
-D (Saturn version, complete)
-D2 (complete)
-Panzer Dragoon 2 (complete)
-Clock Tower (PS1 port of Super Famicom game, complete)
-RockMan Dash (PSP version, complete)
$60
In Heaven, everything is fine.
Well, crap. I don't go to that Fort Worth Movie Trading Company store too often, but if I had seen that, I'd have snagged it quick. I've always loved the look of the X'eye.
Today I picked up a PowerBook (G3 'Pismo' 500mhz) without a power supply for $25. The store had a stack of them at the beginning of the week, apparently. And the ones with power supplies sold first, of course. I need to track down a PSU so I can try this sucker out. I'll get it working, and give it to my mom so she can get email without struggling to read her iMac screen with her bad vision.
I also bought a 'Family TV Gaming System' plug-and-play sponsored by Hoyle, with Mahjong, Chinese Checkers, Solitaire, Checkers, Old Maid, Backgammon, Go Fish, Dominoes, Reversi, Crazy 8, and High Card built in. I bought it just for the novelty of a plug-and-play mahjong machine. Unopened, too. $2.92.
