Default Glue recomendation for gameboy screen cover

I have an original gameboy that the screen cover just fell off of one day. I don't know how or why. The glue just turned crusty and it came off. I'd like to glue it back on but want to have the option to peel it back off again incase I ever need to replace it(so superglue is out of the question). I know I could just get a replacement cover with an adhesive back but this cover is still in good shape. Does anyone know of a glue that has the same consistancy as the original?

    Thanks

You're probably going to have a hard time finding an exact match. Rubber cement is probably your best bet.

I was thinking somethign along those lines. Or even hot glue or maybe double sided tape. I just want something that will hold securly but not permanently bond them together.

A few dabs of silicone, rubber cement, contact cement... anything like that. Hot melt glue will probably not work well, tho.
