Oh yeah, I forgot about that. The diskette version has the graphics compressed too, I think.

    Purchased at GameStop:

    DS:
    Metal Slug 7 (new) - $14.99

(I also walked by a former Circuit City, and noticed that two people in a Mitsubishi Eclipse had found a use for the empty parking lot - driving lessons.)

I have one of those, but for the Game Gear, exact same packaging though. Still sealed as well.

The Sega CD version has an added minigame in it. Cool find, good adventure games are pretty special.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Adv..._Willy_Beamish

The Sega CD edition of the game features a minigame on Willy's Nintari system in his bedroom (in the PC version, playing the Nintari just plays a cutscene of a videogame). The minigame, known as Super Space K'Noidtrix, combines elements of Space Invaders, Tetris and Arkanoid.

    I tried Willy Beamish... and um, didn't like it. >_>;;

Guess I'll put it on eBay.

Yesterday in Oklahoma City I picked up Music Composer, Music Machine, and Frogger cartridges for the Commodore 64, loose, for $1.99 each. And a VG Pocket handheld console for $2.99. The lady at the counter handed me a 25% off coupon when I walked in, which I used, bringing it to around $7 after tax.

I had meant to hit a few game stores around OKC, but I only managed to go to one. I came across three GameXchange stores, but had too much else to do to stop by.

Not as good as my previous round of hitting thrift stores, but the hunt is more fun than the actual acquisition.

    Savers #1:

Star Wars Dark Forces for PC, new and sealed - $2.99

    Goodwill #1:

    Doc's Hi-Tech Cleaning Kit for NES/SNES/TG16/Etc - 99 cents
Anyone remember Doc's from advertisements in magazines in the early 90s? Totally nostalgic for me.

    Goodwill #2:

Deep Fighter, Expendable and Vigilant 8 Second Offense for Dreamcast - $2.99 each
Warhawk (longbox) for PSX, complete - $3.50
2 Spy Fox games for Mac/PC hybrid - $.99 cents each
I worked on both of these, but was never given copies. Had to pick em up.

    Goodwill #3:

Slam n Jam for 3DO, new and sealed - $2.50
    Halo 2 Xbox strategy guide - $1.50
Super Caesar's Palace for SNES, new and sealed - $1.50
Pandemonium! for PSX, complete and mint, $1.50
Choose Your Own Nightmare PC game, new and sealed, 99 cents
Need for Speed Underground PS2 case and manual, free

They're pretty fun. There's a certain level of adult humor present in them. Even though I'm an adult, I still intend to give both games a go pretty soon.

I haven't actually played any of the Humongous Entertainment games, but I know my younger sister grew up playing them. Some of the old SCUMM team was involved in the company, which might explain the adult humor. I grew up with Day of the Tentacle, and they're basically the same thing, except for younger kids.

Wow, you helped make Spy Fox? Awesome, I played those games to death when I was younger.

I didn't get a lot of the James Bond references until I was older, cannot believe I didn't see them until I played the game a few years ago.

I always liked how each game was different, and the split second clicking you had to do during the chase scenes at the end of the games were pretty cool, as you got to play a little longer to see the good ending.

All I know about Humongous is that they made the "Fatty Bear" game. I can't even bear (Haha ugh) to pick that one up. :P

Putt-Putt, Freddy Fish, and Spy Fox are better than Fatty Bear, it's a little too short for my taste.

That's awesome that you worked on the Spy Fox games. I remember playing all of those when I was younger, Spy Fox, Pajama Sam, Freddi Fish, and Putt Putt. Those games were awesome. XD

Had a decent day at the flea yesterday:

I almost doubled the size of my HD DVD collection and got a Blu Ray remote for my PS3. Paid $80 for the lot. Not jaw-dropping but I went home happy
