Gah, I wasn't planning on going out to garage sales or auctions (auctions mainly) until I got some more room/got more organised. And what happens? My neighbor has a garage sale.

    I ended up with:
    1 Genesis 2
2 Sega brand 3 button controllers (one with a ratty cord)
1 Sega brand 6 button controller (what is the 'mode' button for?)
1 Sega RF modulator (has all the pins, mod this cable into RGB if need be)
1 4.5Volt Power supply by Sony
NBA Jam, beat up plastic box, no instrunctions, messy label
Fifa Soccer '95, beat up plastic box(clear plastic ripped off the bottom half), no instrunctions

    $5 for all.

This is my fourth Genesis system, and second Genesis 2. Not too much volume taken up, but still.

All of my stuff was at retail at a classic game store 4Jays in Antioch CA. Here's my buys for the weekend (I'm broke now).

    Game Gear
    Car power adapter
    X-Men
    Sonic the Hedgehog 2

Just under $50. A felt a little bit gypped, but that's the price you pay, I guess.

Wow, that's crazy. I just got two games in the mail from 4Jays, Shinobi and Golden Axe Warrior, both SMS games. $20 for both of em.

Don't think I'm gonna buy from them again, their stuff wasn't in terribly great condition and "complete" gives more wiggle room than I'd like.

    Prices in CDN funds.

Picked up Pocket Fighter, Lucky Luke and Speedball 2100 for the psx. I don't have anything to play them on but for 3$ each I couldn't pass them up. Also got a nes with all hooksups, 2 controllers, light gun, hard shell 10 game holder and 6 games for 15$. Games are SMB 2, TMNT with instructions, Rampage with instructions, To the earth with instructions, Dr.Mario and SMB/Duck hunt with instructions. They all came in plastic sleeves so bonus for that.

I had to work most of the weekend, but I might swing out tomorrow to some garage sales, pending good weather.

    But, at work I snagged:

    GBA E-Reader Display
    GBA Display

Less GBA's but I can always replace those later.

    Plus
    Gamecube vol. 9 Retail Demo
Paper GB SP that sounds when you open it up.
More AC cards (only need 20 for the complete set)

I've got a bunch of trippy stuff going down right now, here's the rundown:

One guy sold me the following for $90:
    Nomad system
Super Metroid (complete with the shrinkwrap around the box...and the Nintendo guide, perfect condition)
    Phantasy Star IV, complete

I also contacted him back about getting the following things:
Suikoden (PSX, "infamous cover art" according to him, huh? ;)
    Phantasy Star 2 - complete
Panzer Dragoon Orta - complete, saturn
For THAT haul, he wanted $80.

I feel a bit uneasy about that all since it's at such low prices, but he said he's a college student. I just find it hard to believe that the guy wanted only as much as he charged...remember that these are HIS prices after I said, "You tell me what you want!" and I didn't haggle a cent off the prices; in fact I added $5 to that Nomad+SM+PSIV combo. Anyways...I'll wait until the stuff gets shippped.

Next bit. Waiting for a response from folks who've got a ton of PCBs I want, for the moment, I'm getting Daimakaimura and Shadow Dancer (system 18 rocks, man!)--Japanese versions both. Again, quite reasonable pricing.

Some guy tells me he's got "Famicom Zelda" complete, with the wrapper again, for $55. CART VERSION. I bet he means Super Famicom, but $55 is again not a bad price (I would've paid $45 elsewhere, except they ran out long ago).

Anything else? Well, yes, I'm looking forward to my next paycheck, I've got some stuff that's actually new to get.

But that was the interesting bit.

    Some more stuff:

Quattro Adventure (4-games, unlicensed, gold cart... what is this?)
    Pyramid (AVE unlicensed)
    Krazy Kreatures (AVE unlicensed)
    Adventures of Lolo
    Play Action Football

    and a bare N64
    N64 with just AC adapter
    bare SNES
    bare Gensis 1

....and although bare, it's a DEMO KIOSK Dreamcast, apparently from Japan. It won't play american discs.

is any of this stuff rare/valuable? I'm not displeased since I got them all for free

The Quattro Serie was made by Camerica, they are very uncommun but not rare.

Under the advise of Tips & Tricks 100th issue, I picked up Wild Woody. I would have had a Sega -CD to play it on, but no.

"Hey Steve. this guy wants to buy the Sega-CD"
    "Well I'm not selling it yet, I haven't checked the price on >) e-bay >) " > > >

This is the guy that jacked up Final FIght 3 $10 once I said I wanted it. Bastard
I am in fact the guy that made the Raisins prototype worth thousands less by dumping it. "D'oh!!"

Would you be willing to part with that machine? I could give you a nice profit on it (and yes, I have no idea what it's worth whatsoever, I'm going out on a limb when I think $100+)

I finally saw a bunch of complete games this weekend, but it was all stuff I had the carts of or didn't really want, but it was cool though.
    Picked up:
    SNES:
    Blazeon
    Kendo Rage (complete)
    Gunforce
    Adventures of Batman and Robin
    NES:
    Twin Cobra
    Bubble Bobble
    Adventure Island 3
    Afterburner
    Vindicators

    PSX:
    Crash Bandicoot
    FF7
    Fighting Force
    Hot Shots Golf
    Oddworld Abe's Exodus
(all are non-GH, hard to find around here, all the CB's I've seen within 50 miles were GH)

Saw lots of cool stuff this weekend...

Well, got a gameless TG-16 that I'm not fully sure is working, but turned on and gave a white screen when hooked up. It's encouraging.

Also, I got this joystick, it looks like it has a Genesis/Atari type attachment at the end, with suction cups underneath. It has two large red buttons labeled "A" and "B" on each side, I assume for left/right handed players. It says Ultimate Superstick and is by Beeshu Inc. Anyone know where -that- comes from or goes to?

EDIT: SMS Joystick!!!! I'm trying this bad boy out right now! YEah!

...wow. Fantasy Zone is one of the greatest games ever. And this joystick helps a lot. DAMN I'm happy to find it!

I didn't pick up anything too valuable this weekend (a few common games here and there), but I did score a neat find. I found three computer / video game oriented magazines from 1980. They feature systems such as the Intellivision + computer module, APF + computer module, Atari 2600, Odyssey 2, and really obscure computers I have never heard of. There are a lot of nice pictures between them. On the conver of one of the magazines is a basketball game barely better graphics-wise than the A2600 version with the caption "Those wild new super graphics and computer games!". There's also a really funny article about what computers will be doing in 2000, such as driving our cars. The magazines are VideoPlay, Mechanix Illustrated Personal Computers, and Popular Electronicx.
