Great milestones are not reached everyday. Therefore, I am dedicating this thread to celebrating my 500th RPG. Which... I don't have yet. I actually have 10 more to go. So, I'll be updating this thread with new games as I get them, and with pictures of the collection, until I reach the all important milestone game.

#491 is... Lil' Monster


Funny story about this one, I'd traded Atelier Iris 3 for a complete copy of the game but someone at my post office is a dirty thief and gutted my package. Ultimately I wrote it off as a loss, but the trader contacted me later saying she'd found the game at a local store and would send free of charge. So no, it's not my minty complete copy but it's better than nothing. Thanks NeoKitty!

I know I said my Genesis collection was complete, but I can't resist borderline titles.

Quality not up to my normal standards, the top of the label is missing. But, it's really such a crappy game and I got it on trade with Cadash for Romance of the Three Kingdoms 3. It'll probably get replaced later, but I'm happy with it for now.

#494 is... Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II


Complete, manual has some small nicks but otherwise minty. I'm really pleased with this trade, I got it in exchange for my open copy of Baten Kaitos. Value-wise I made out on top, and I'd already been playing a friend's copy of the game so I knew I 'd really like it.

I already owned Persona 3 so I held off on buying the rerelease. However, it was marked down to $15 at the Gamestop's Gamer Day Sale so... how could I resist. And the sale's been going on for awhile, so I was amazed it was still there.

I bought this from Aussie2B (THANKS!) for the cheapo price of $18 (plus shipping). I don't actually own a NeoGeo Pocket but I do know games in cardboard packaging in this condition don't pop up everyday.

Do you count your Dragon Quest 8 demo disc as a game in the collection or no?

Also, nice Dragon Warrior collection, but you're missing Dragon Warrior Monsters 2: Tara's Adventure as a US release title. I know it's the same game as Cobi's Journey, but in the regular areas some of the monsters are different and she gets key's you can't on Cobi's Journey and vice versa.

No, of course not. It's just swag. I also have some DW action figures, but I wasn't going to dismantle their display to get them into the photo.

How many games in your collection have you finished? Don't get me wrong I'm not simply buying games to gather dust on the shelves. I enjoy the genre, so I play it. I've only beaten around 50 of them (literally 10%), but I've played many more to their end dungeon, and have tried just about all of them. If I get pulled away from a game for a week it's almost certain that I won't be going back to it. I lose my drive to finish.

LifeGame: You didn't post a picture,but that's fine as I'm not buying games right now. Just trading, unless the price is a steal, but it sounds like you're looking for a bit more than that. I'm also not comfortable with the whole shoot me an offer thing, I stress out that someone's going to feel I'm lowballing them or that I could have gotten a better deal if I wasn't stressing. I think it's generally the seller's responsibility to state a price, especially when they're looking for the "right" one.

Good job on all the games, great pic of all the Megadrive games. I have to admit I really enjoy the Megadrives RPG line up. I've enjoyed all the ones I've played, and there is a great variety.

Yeah I never knew Genesis had so many RPGs. I guess they just didn't get popular enough to rival the Squaresoft and Enix stuff on Super Nintendo.

So when people say Super Nintendo had more RPGs, it might not be as true as most people say (in the USA). It may have had more respected series, but not many more games when it came to quantity.
