    Default Found: USB Saturn pads.

My man Ceph of 2dgaming.net has been on a roll today, and this is unambiguously (unlike the CD32s) a great deal that needs no introduction for many of you: New USB Saturn pads, from Sega. Seems legit all around (check the photos):

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=220413760350

Anyway, that's enough spamming other people's eBay auctions from me for a while. Such a good deal that I didn't want to let it slip by unremarked.

    I ordered three.

So the ones with the SEGA logo are the genuine ones? That clears things up.

    Buyer beware of course.

If you're feeling iffy on this, you can wait until Ceph & I get ours for a report.

If it's from China, it HAS to be genuine!

Just because its made in china doesnt mean its a cheap knock off. Sure pictures lie, it looks like its made well, but if you havent noticed, go into practically any clothing store, extremely hard to find clothing made in the U.S today, even though it may be a U.S brand. I doubt it is relative in this situation, very unlikely.

I am a little worried however since its made in china, about the materials used to make it. With all that lead toy stuff going on.

Sega doesnt have to have factories in China to produce controllers. A company could've paid to use Segas name.

Please post once you get them. I'm really interested.

Can you pick the colour of the pad? I'd want black.

I can't imagine them being any good, they're not made by Sega, not even licensed by Sega, they're just illegal copies.

The seller has white ones, black ones and grey ones all in different auctions. What confuses me though is that the shipping prices are different depending on which colour. Shipping to Canada is different between all three auctions. One is $12, another is 20, another is 21.

Some colors require that they add more lead to the paint, increasing the weight and cost of shipping.

For me, they all come out to $23 shipped. The black one is $17 with $6 shipping. The white one is $11 with $12 shipping. It does, however list the gray for $21 with free shipping. Gee whiz, which color should I order?

    Hey guys,

I found another thread with some ongoing discussion about these, and I posted my impressions there:

None because I got 3 for $61 shipped, lulz ($11/item, so $33 for the pads, plus $28 for shipping - the first item was $12, the second two added $8/ea. to S&H).
