Are 3DO systems region locked ??

I am running my collection of 3DO games right now and have been geting questions about regions on 3DO systems. I need everyones help so I can answer these questions, because I don't know for sure.

Do american 3DO games work on European and Japanese 3DO systems.
Particularly will US games NTSC work on a PAL system?

I have Japanese games working on my 3DO, so that much works. I don't think they're locked out.

I can add that the 3DO plays CDR copied games without issue . It was released before anyone thought CD copiers would be cheap and common. I doubt, however, that PAL games will work on an NTSC system, I can't think of any systems that have been cross compatible to date.

There are no lockouts on any region 3DO player.
