Default wnats happened to Retronauts Podcast?

    Hello,

Anyone know what has happened to the Retronauts podcast - the last one was episode 72 on 21/06/09 but there have been no updates since then and no information on the bloag as far as i could see.

I'm just after some reassurance that it hasn't given up steam and died in the aftermath of EGM's closure - it always had a reasonably regular update and although it changed it's format recently after the buy out, it looked like it was going to continue.

But as is the case with most podcasts they simply die and disapear with no hint of a goodbye - I may be jumping the gun here and really hope i'm way off track cause this is really my favorite gaming podcast that stands on my ipod as a herculean encylopedia of retro gaming knowledge.

Does anyone know who any closer to the project then me?

    Thanks,

    tmc.

They've had some long hiatuses in the past -- there was a six week gap from #67 to #68, for example. Life just gets busy.

You can always ask Wired's Chris Kohler, since he contributes to that podcast.

The Retronauts blog and Twitter page are still active, so I don't think the podcast is dead. Most of the 1UP guys are posters on another message board, and they haven't mentioned anything about the podcast shutting down.

Retronauts, even in the days of EGM, had a pretty spotty schedule. It was common for them to go 2-3 weeks between podcasts. 1UP's lost a few editors lately, so I'd assume the Retronauts podcast is probably on the back-burner for now.

Yup that's how it go's with a retronauts podcast. They can go without weeks befor doing a new one.People need to remember the editors that host it do other things beside retronauts. When they have the time they do it when they don't,it can be weeks before the new one.
