    Default Sega genesis Rambo 3 proto?

    Hi all, i recently find this in a friend house when moving, i asked my friend if i could keep it and where did he get it, it was from his father, who worked at a magazine from 80' to mid 90' , he said me that they throw all this things and he saved a few cartidges to his son ( my friend), he lost all but this one, it came with no case

    is this real? , playing throught this i noticed that im very bad and can't get past the 2nd level, and noticed that it have a diferent sprite when walking up in screen, but i dind't really played a lot to notice anithing else

    From the little I can see, it looks legitimate.

    I'm assuming those stickers are covering EPROM windows and not just stuck on a production chips. If they are in fact EPROMs, you'd have a much stronger case for it being a prototype.

    Can you post some pics of the game being played? From my experience, the most common differences found in prototypes have to do with dates/text on the title screen. Have you tried to compare the two?

    Those look like production ROMS with stickers over them. The indentations on each side of the ROM chips give them away, but it just looks like a production one to me.

    I agree, they are definitely not EPROMs. I suppose they could be EEPROMs or Flash chips but are most likely production ROMs.
