Great find on that stuff! If you wanted to, you could at least double your money by selling those Pokemon games.

Garage sales were boring today. I found a loose Super Scope for a dollar. No cords or anything. I did visit a sale where the lady told me that she had a bunch of SNES games and a system in her closet. She said she'd get them and save them for me tomorrow, so cross your fingers for Chrono Trigger or Kirby's Dreamland 3 or something like that.

I hope Saturday will be better. Friday was depressing. We went to the nastiest, filthiest garage sale I've ever been to. The house had old people living in it that died. I think that they died and nobody knew and their dogs got into the house and peed all in it. It stunk and everything was dusty and dirty. They had some decent stuff but anything with value was ruined with a "set-in-I-swear-to-God-you'll-never-ever-get-it-out-even-with-febreeze" stink. Icky.

The house was going under renovations too, bushes had taken over the front and blocked the house's entrance, there were 3 junked cars on the front lawn, they had a giant overflowing dumpster in the back near tables of merchandise, and there was a smashed pink toilet in the front lawn. I repeat THERE WAS A SMASHED PINK TOILET IN THE FRONT LAWN. This was baaaaaad. Sometimes I wish I would remember to take my camera with me to sales.

    Last day of the month:

    Genesis Altered Beast CIB -$1
Loose NES Mickey Mousecapade & Skate or Die 2 -$2
Loose Tetris Attacks - $5 (Now I need a SNES)
CIB Power Play Super Joy III NES-on-a-chip - $4
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_Player_Super_Joy_III

Didn't know it was real NES games on it. I thought it was just some cheesy no-name games. Apparently I can plug Famicom carts into this thing. (If I had any)

Shoot, nice find on Bubble Bobble Part 2!

Also Ryaan, could you post pics of that loose Super Scope? How's the condition? I've been looking for one and already have the receiver.

Sorry BetaWolf, you wouldn't believe this, but my sister and I were at the same garage sale about 3 months ago and they had just the hookups, which my sister got. I'm not making this up. I figured that it wasn't worth mentioning in the finds post. It was kinda odd to find one and then the other.

Wow, that is crazy. I wish people would sell accessories when they sell their systems. I bet people have closets full of accessories for systems they don't even own anymore.

My Super Scope receiver came bundled with an Enforcer

lol. I was excited to see the Super Scope at that house. When I told the lady what happened she said "people have been asking about that all day. They've been wanting the stuff that goes with it." In fact, after a little conversation the lady said she'd bring some SNES stuff out for us tomorrow, so, in fact, I actually have 2 people that are saving some SNES stuff for me at garage sales tomorrow.

Picked up Resident Evil 5 for the Xbox360 off of Craigslist for $15. Dont even know why I bought it since I hated RE 4.

    From Play N Trade tonight:

Game Gear with TV Tuner and Sonic 2 - $14.79
    Zoop (GG) - $5.79
    Galaga (NES) - $2.99
NES Control Deck Manual - FREE

I'll be honest, it's NOT in the greatest condition. Screen is scuffed, LCD has some vertical line distortion, speaker doesn't seem to work well, but it was cheap. The TV tuner WORKS, though I broke the little red plastic channel indicator (the toothed plastic bar that moves it back and forth with the dial was really brittle). Given the state of analog, all I can pick up is a home shopping station. Thing is, I always remember when someone let me play their Game Gear, it always looked like crap, so there's some nostalgia there!

I wasn't going to get Zoop, but the clerk said it was great, and he persuaded me by throwing in the NES manual that I had asked about. His offer was to throw it in if I got Zoop AND Caesar's Palace ($3.79), but I talked him down to just Zoop.

I saw something odd that I'd like to know a bit more about. They had a boxed Super Mario Bros 3 with the Action Set labels on it. It looked like clear plastic tape across the front of the box, vertically, with Action Set and Not For Resale branding. It was $15, and had the cart and styrofoam inside, no manual. I didn't notice anything unique about the cart, just the box, and I didn't really want to pay $15 for just a box to add to my collection. Is this something I should go back for, or is it worth as much as any other pack-in game?

    More stuff:

    Book Broker:

Planetes Volumes 1-4.1 = $20 (will trade for 4.2 if someone has it if I can't get it via the Rightstuf Tokyopop sale)
Megaman NT Warrior Volumes 1-4 = $12 (giving these to my boss - her niece is devouring volume after volume of manga)

Book & Music Exchange, Evansville Washington Ave.:

Reign: the Conqueror complete series volumes 1-4 = $40 (going to its new home on my next day off)
    Silent Hill 2 (Xbox, PH) = $10 (gone - was a gift)

    McVans:

Phantasy Star Collection (GBA, complete) = $12
Valis III (Genesis, complete) = $10
    Tail Concerto (PS1, complete) = $23

    All in all, not bad.

I went to a garage sale, right off the bat I saw a boxed vectrex for 100$, then I saw 2 crates of all boxed atari games mostly sealed (all commons) THEN I SAW A FUCKING CRATE FILLED WITH BOXED NES GAMES! 5$ each. I asked the guy about everything, he was a collecter and he sells arcade boards for a living. He brought out a box with boxed snes games, (final fantasy 2 and 3, mario all stars, zelda)boxed master system games (phantasy star 1 2 and 3), boxed 3do games (some sealed). He had tons of phantasy star games, tons of good nes games (nothing super rare, boxed mega man but couldent get it.) He had a boxed sega master system glasses for 100$. I did get his email, he is saving a bunch of games for me including about 50 32x games he couldent find.

    for 30$ I got
street fighter 2 turbo (3do) still in the shrink wrap
guardian war sealed perfect condition (3do)
    contra super c cib
    mega man x2 cib
pieces (atlus snes game) sealed perfect condition (motherfucking r7, theirs a cib one on amazon for 130$!)
    super metroid cib
    ps2 network adapter

Ill post a picture later, he said he would continue selling games to me If I wanted them, I GOT HIS EMAIL!!!!!!!

I had a bit of running around to do yesterday, so I stopped at a couple of pawn shops along the way:

    Pawn #1:

The Dark Knight 2 Disc Special Edition (Sealed!) - $10

    Pawn #2:

    Wild ARMs 4 (Complete) - $15.00

Cowboy Bebob The Movie - $5.00 (It's a Roger's Video ex-rental, but it still has it's original case and the disc is in pretty good shape.)
