It appears to mean counteroffer, but i have no idea where the abbreviaton cif comes from.
I saw like 10 copies of guitar hero III for xbox 360 at goodwill for 5.50, of course new and sealed target returns, were priced 7.48 from target, they just came in today. Man that game has really crashed in value. I did not need any more copies of it.

I had a pretty good few days:
I got a crystal xbox with all cables and a green translucent controller. I'm going to install XBMC on in. I've already got a crystal xbox, but the DVD drive is a little friggy. My current one has already been softmodded for XBMC. I'll give that one to my sister's family to use as a media center.
[Crystal xbox - $25.00]
I also paid $25.00 for the following games:
NES:
Double Dragon II (complete)
Maniac Mansion (loose, but with green NES case)
Super NES:
Super Metroid (loose)
F-Zero (loose)
Nintendo 64:
Mariokart 64
Banjo-Kazooie (with box and instructions)
Banjo-Tooie - (with box)
The seller said that if he can find the instructions for Banjo-Tooie, he'll let me know so I can have those too
[Various games - $25.00]
I think the games were worth the price, because I actually LOVE each and every one of them. MANIAC MANSION! HELL YES!

I just snagged Prince of Persia and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, both on 360. I'll post pics once my other item arrives tomorrow.

If I had the extra money, I may have thought about getting it. They also had almost the full series of King's Quest computer games for $2 each. Thought about getting them too. May go back and see if they have them.
JY
are sega 32x systems really worth $40? I have like 5 of them, every time i find a sega cd system it seems they also come with the 32x.

Goodwill today:
GBA (no battery cover)
Mad Catz PSU (broken?)
Mad Catz Battery Pack (broken?)
Mad Catz link cable
Mad Catz light and magnifier (incomplete)
Games:
Shrek 2
Frogger's Adventures Temple of the Frog
Namco Museum
Ice Climber
Mario Vs. Donkey Kong
Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2
all for 12$
I didn't think it was too bad of a deal.
I have a new rule for thrift shops, if I spot something that looks interesting, and the price is right, I get it right then and there, because there's a 50/50 chance when you go back it will be gone.
I'm here in North Louisiana visiting family, and I've spent my free time hitting thrifts across the top half of the state. And I've found nothing game related in any of them. The only thing I bought was at a Game Exchange, a copy of Risky Woods for the Genesis, Battlecorps for the Sega CD (broken hinges) and a sweet light gun that has plugs for the PS1 and Saturn on it, and it's all black except for a little silver bit where the bullet casings are supposed to be ejected from on a real gun. It doesn't have that orange tip on the barrel to let people know it's not real. Usually light guns look nothing like a real gun, this one could get me shot if police officers saw me with it. Nice.
It's all about location. I find next to nothing good when I'm at home. But when I go to Wisconsin for College, it's an instant boom.
I've been searching around here for years without PnT and it was only when I went to Wisconsin I found an R7 PS1 game and a Sharp NES tv combo system.
Vintage game hunting takes patience and perserverance. I have to go at least 15-20 miles out to find stuff because I live in a semi-rural suburb area....but i still check the local thrifts when i can...
Got a PlayStation game at a Goodwill yesterday:
Worms World Party (no manual) - $2.99
