I picked up a saturn with only a power cord and no Rf switch. Can I use a genesis RF switch for it??

I'm gonna take a wild stab at this. Anyone with their consoles close by, feel free to correct me if I get this wrong, as my genesis is not here at the moment.
If I remember correctly, the Genesis RF switch is similar to the NES RF switch. The Saturn's RF switch does not have the same plug end as the typical RF switch. That said, there would be no place to plug in the old style RF switch.
Of course, regardless of whether I'm right or wrong, you're probably going to want to find a way to hook up your Saturn using RCA cables.

Nope..it needs a Saturn cord. You MIGHT be able to use the one off the Genesis 2, but I think it has too many prongs in the connector. Not 100% sure. You can probably get a cord from www.sega-parts.com or eBay tho.

I can get new A/V out cables for saturn. No, it's totally genny incompatible.
If you want it, it's $11.22USD shipped, or I'm up for trades too. Good luck regardless!

Thanks. I will keep it in mind omnedon . I am not sure what I will be doing. I don't even know if the console works since I can't test it. I also would have to buy controllers, so it would get pretty expensive . I might just dump it on ebay. Anyone interested in trading for a bare saturn console untested??
That irritates me no end that the Genesis/Mega Drive 2 and Saturn RF's are different.
Thery're identical aside from the pins (Saturn is four pin and Genesis/Mega Drive is 9 pin). Why the hell did Sega do that?!?! >
