Do You Have More Than One Copy of The Same Game? Why?

I've had two copies of a number of uncommon to rare imports, easy enough to do when you're looking for quality. Right now I have (for example) three copies of Sin & Punishment and two copies of Rendering Ranger...but no Psychic Killer Taromaru

I also have two copies of Getsu Fuuma Den for Famicom, at least I think I do. The new one is in much nicer shape.

Genpei Touma Den for X68000 I have twice over, and one copy has a traditional banner thing and poles. Pretty nifty extra.

It really gets crazy when you have multiples of consoles...which I do, especially Genesis / Mega Drives.

I have two copies of Populous on SNES, because I needed the manual for it and I was hoping to be as into the game as it was more worth buying the game CIB for 9 on ebay, rather than 4 on ebay for just the manual. I was probably jipped though.

I have a few games on both SNES and Genesis (Addams Family, Pac Man 2, Out of This World)

I have multiple copies of Pokemon Pinball because my brothers are overpossessive of theirs so we keep buying more (good thing they were only like 2 apiece at gamestop.)

Theres a couple games we have on both PS2 and GameCube. I also have 3 copies of Sonic 2 on both the game gear and genesis, because cheap prices are tormentuous

I have several hundred copies of vegas stakes and shaq fu in my bathroom... It's for when the TP is running low.

The only game that I have exactly two copies of is Shadow Hearts 1 for the PS2. I got the second copy since it was a preorder bonus for Shadow Hearts 2.

The only interesting thing that I have 2 of is Suikoden and Dudes With Attitude. I found my original, loose copy of Suikoden at my local flea market for a whole dollar. I played it a bit and loved the game. Fast forward 3 months when I happily picked up a mint and complete Suikoden for $3 at the same flea market. I also mentioned Dudes With Attitude. I originally picked up a beat up copy at the local game store, Special FX, for $4.99 when I first started collecting. Just a few months ago I found the second copy of Dudes With Attitude for $4.99 at the same store. Mostly bought the second copy of that game because it's in beautiful mint condition.

Heh, I own 4 lose copies of Dodge Danpei (Famicom). Found them cheap on a nearby flea market.

I have Soul Calibur II on all 3 systems..as well on the PS3 & 360, getting it in Jan.

I just like getting same games on other platfoms

I have all 3 version of Mario 3 on the Famicom, PAL NES & tthe NES as well the hack versions

I have doubles of a few NES games. The reason is, because my old copies of them were kind of beat up and I wanted to replace them with copies that were in better condition. However, I could not bring myself to sell my old copies or give them away...because they are the copies I've had since I was a little kid (lots of sentimental value). So I just put them in the boxes, and put the newer copies out on the shelves with the rest of my NES games.

My bro has both copies of star wars but the game for 360 is different than the ps2 and he got the 360 later. I look at people's collection pics and i see people with 3 or 4 of the same game like 3 copies of sonic 2 Why

Packaging variants? That's why I have four copies of Sonic 2.
