So im playing SMW again for fun and to beat every level. I noticed after you go through the vanilla cave area and up the pipe the first level on the top of the bridge was annoyingly hard. What do you think is the hardest stage in the game?

Outrageous.
Tubular always annoyed me.
Are you talking about Butter Bridge or Cheese Bridge? There's two bridges crossing that area, depending on which branch out of the Vanilla Dome you take.
Both levels are very easy I think. The toughest stages for me have always been Soda Lake, Forest Fortress, and Roy's Castle (For some reason, the fortresses and castles on Chocolate Island and the Valley of Bowser are much easier than these two in the Forest of Illusion for me).
Tubular is easy once you know what to do. And the rest of the special world is disappointingly easy.

What I forgot to add is that Super Mario World, while being a super tight package of excellent platforming, suffers from the same problem as Super Mario Bros. 3. That being that the game on a whole is just far too easy.
Mario games, in general, were never very hard. The only exceptions are Lost Levels and some of the pain in the ass obstacle courses in Sunshine.
Tubular, definitely.
Though this video make it look stupid easy.
Without a doubt, Tubular always was the roughest one for me. The rest of the game is stupid easy. That video just made me feel like a horrible video game player lol.
Yes, Tubular is by far the hardest level in the game. As I read the title of this thread I knew what I was going to say.
Every other level is pretty easy. I usually die at least 5-6 times when playing Tubular before I get it just right.
Non-special levels - Soda Lake.
Special levels... probably Outrageous (that's the one in the forest, right?)
I always hated the one with all the weird conditions for getting different paths.
I think it was choco something or other.
It's not that it has especially challenging platforming, because it doesn't, but it's so hard to find the hidden exit.
It just checks time I think. I always did it fine by rushing to the end as fast I could for one exit, and taking things slowly to get the 2nd exit.
