Do Combat and Indy 500 really have to be played with two people?

Can a mod please delete this thread. Reading it has seriously depressed me.
Atari games are inane? You bitch that you couldn't hook it up, now that you can, you bitch about the games you're playing.
Maybe you need simpler games to play - like maybe Ball-in-a-Cup.
"And if you miss, it's OK because the ball is on a string attached to the cup!"

Indy 800 had 8 players in the arcade. If you're talking about Indy 500 on the VCS then it's 1-2 players. You may need to cycle through the game selections to have the timed game where you have so many seconds to hit as many laps as possible around the track. Also you may want to track down the racing paddles to play with a "wheel" feel.
Combat is 2 players.

If that's what this is about - you need instructions - well, AtariAge has an archive of the instructions for every Atari game ever released. Go to www.atariage.com and poke around you'll find the archive and you won't have any problems any more.Originally Posted by Metropolisforever;

Atari games are impossible to play without instructions? Seriously? I think the ball and cup may even be too much for the OP if thats the case. Perhaps a pen and paper to draw happy pictures would be a better idea.
Step away from the Atari sir. Step AWAY from the Atari. . .
