Some nice rounds of price cuts may be on the horizon!!

Now that MS, Sony, and Nintendo's sales and profits are plummeting, I think there will be some nice price cuts all around in the next few months. I'm thinking a $299 slim or 80GB PS3, a $399 160GB/Uncharted bundle, a $199 Wii, a $249 360 Pro, and a $349 Elite. I don't know what they're going to do with the Arcade model, either drop it to $149 or discontinue it I say. As far as handhelds go, I think the PSP will stay at its current price, the PSPGO should be $199, not $250, and the DSI will probably hold at its current price.

I sort of doubt it from Microsoft console-wise, but I could see Sony or Nintendo cutting their console's prices.

Sony just mentioned they've cut production costs, and Hard News mentioned that a commercial was in the works to announce a price drop. Their source was an anonymous person who went by the name of Nathan Barnatt. Plus if the slim is real it would make sense to release it at a lower price point.

Nintendo hasn't cut their price since launch, so they could cut it at any time. As it is actually possible to find a Wii nowadays, it would make some sense.

As for games, well hopefully Nintendo will bring Player's Choice to Wii since it has been a year or two overdue. Not really sure if others will drop games.

I'm sure some of the people reading this topic are going to doubt the OP, but I must remind everyone that he has the same chance of knowing anything as every other game analyst.

And Playstation 3 will never go down to $300, That's far too low due to the fact that Sony was already losing money on every Playstation 3 anyway for a while, not sure if it's still like that.

Nintendo has historically dropped the price of every console they have ever launched. It's just until very recently, there really wasn't a reason for them to do it with the Wii. Also, you obviously don't read much video game news because there have been articles for weeks and weeks about how much the video game market has been hit with declining sales. Even Amazon saw a huge sales drop in recorded media like video games and DVDs. If you're gonna post, please at least make sure you have the facts right before doing so.

As a guesstimation... I would say the PS3 will see a price cut. Wii will either receive a new bundle/pack in involving MotionPlus/Wii Sports Resort or a slim price cut. The 360 will stay the same.
