I'm guessing people FINALLY found out about things like McBoot and/or HDLoader?

That's the only reason I can think of...unless there is another reason I don't know.

I think that those programs are the only reason because many adaptors are selling without the driver disk ...

I don't recall ever needing the disc in the first place. Most of the games I played allowed you to create the necessary profile within the game itself.

Even though it's pretty much useless now a days (what with all of the free patches, enhancements and exploits that came out after the fact), I still have my HDLoader disc kickin' around. Hard to believe that sucker is over 5 years old now.

Whenever I play a PS2 game on my PS2, it's via HDLoader. The only times I don't bother are when there's compatibility issues (like Tales of the Abyss), in which case I just pop the disc in the PS3 and suffer through the load times like everyone else.

Anyone that still uses their fat PS2 pretty much owes it to themselves to set the exploit up. Hell, you don't even need a PS1 trigger disc anymore (which eliminates a lot of the confusion most people were having with getting it running). Your DVD-ROM will thank you for it and you'll love the performance and convenience benefits.

Why?? There are plenty of netwerkadapters available here for a fraction of the price that people buy/sell them on ebay.com

I bought one and played SOCOM online for a day, tried out ssx3 online and that was it. No one played the ps2 online.
