Default Original Xbox problem please help

Hi, so i was playing my original xbox and all was well, i finished my game closed it down and went to bed, i deleted some unwanted save game files before shutting it down. I woke up the next morning to attack the final level of my game so i boot up my xbox and it started doing a tick tick tick sound so i think its the HD but im no expert and it gives me the multiple languages error messages so i was wondering if anyone knew about this overnight death without moving the console or nothing.

Thanks for any help or info about this.

it could either be the hard drive or the DVD drive.

This thread should be moved to the technical and restoration subforum.

Sounds like a dying hard drive. Pull the disc out and look at the underside - if it's scored up it would likely be the drive.

Something to think about is the model of DVD drive inside the Xbox, look here:

    Agreed on both counts.
