Um, sorry if there's any confusion, but I really did pay for these titles last night.
The seller stated on numerous occasions that if he received a good enough offer before listing them on eBay then he would sell them. I'm certain that no one would offer higher than the amount I paid.
EB is a good dude and I've enjoyed chatting with him via PM. He still has the PAL titles if anyone else is interested.
I take it you didnt pay much for the Mario 2 Kaiser pirate right? Maybe it's worth around $20-$50 or something, I dunno it's exact rarity, but it's surely nowhere in the price range of protos.
At least we know they're in good hands now since you're the one who bought them

As BP said, the seller is an excellent guy to deal with and we're very happy that we could come to an agreement for the lot.
Thanks for the kind words my good man. Like most of our other prototypes, Mark and I plan on leaking these out from time to time as part of our "From Nowhere Productions" monthly free ROM releases. The few that may not see a free release will (at the very least) be backed up on a few different computers to ensure they're preserved.At least we know they're in good hands now since you're the one who bought them
Beagle: Did you get the Ikari II proto?
The agreement was for all the NTSC games because EB preferred to not break up the lot. Ikari II was one of the games included in the mix as a result.

The protos were priced very fairly, we're very, very pleased with the transaction. Besides, if you want to collect one of a kind (or what, like 5 of a kind at most on some of these?) items, you got to be ready to open up the wallet every once in a while
