User 'Vileredfalcon' scammed $140 from my friend, what should I do?

Recently my friend payed user vileredfalcon $140 for a SNES system and a bunch of games. Long story short, the money was sent as a 'gift' so he wouldnt have to pay paypal fees and vileredfalcon sent nothing, and we received no communication or tracking after he took the money. He hasnt responded to any of our emails/PMs.

I know he has an account on GTZ. I am curious as to what is the best way to get reimbursement for my friend or spread the word that this guy is a total scammer.

His email wasn't on his profile but a link to send a msg to the email account he used to register on DP was there.

He has a load of positive FB on GTZ. Either he ripped you off or he's paying someone that ripped him off a 'visit'. This (text below in red) is smoke and mirrors to make others think he's brutally honest or he is honest and something else is wrong. Hard to say with no response, but keep in mind that it may not be intentional. Hope it works out for everyone. Try to reach him at GTZ also, he seems to be checking in there -> Snippet from his GTZ profile page. Last login: on 26-Aug-2009 at 9:35pm & Well, kind of a scary guy IMO...

For your own safety, know that I do not take kindly to be ripped off or cheated. I am centrally located in the United States, and I have no problem with taking a road trip to show up on your door step and show you that I am serious. I will not hesitate to burn, steal, or kill something that is dear to you for my own satisfaction. Consider yourself warned.

If you have records of all correspondences, you might be able to get PayPal to do something. They likely won't be terribly sympathetic to your friend, but they won't be too happy with the scammer, either.

Well, this is the last PM I recieved from him. We both attempted to contact him through PM and Email multiple times with no response.
The last PM he sent to me was on 8/06 and was this:

Received your friend's payment. Thank you.

I'll have his stuff shipped out on Monday morning, and I'll message you with tracking info later in the evening.

Not really me, it was my friend who doesnt use these forums. I mentioned the sale and he wanted to buy it and sent the money. Then NOTHING. We have the paypal reciept, and he hasnt sent any tracking info, nor has he replied to my pms or my friend Matt's emails.

I don't really expect anything to show up or have my friend get refunded, but I want it known that VileRedFalcon stole $140 on these forums.

Anybody who writes something like that as a disclaimer is a highly disturbed and/or just plain rotten human being and isn't worth dealing with in the first place, legitimately or otherwise.

Yeah, that's why I added him to my black list already... I deal here and GTZ so I need to be double careful of this guy. Even if he did not intentionally steal, I don't care. My life is fine with the sociopaths I'm forced to deal with IRL. Don't need to farm for more online!

@bb_hood: The inference there is he is ducking out. Not hard to check for PMs once a week...

All I want is a tracking number for the package. It was paid for, and he said I would get a tracking number. This was 3 weeks ago.

I've moved this to Buy/Sell, since then we can let more people see what's going on. Please also drop feedback in his thread (if there is one, if not, start one) letting people know of this situation. If things chage, you can make another post telling people of the progress in there.

I can only second Kitsune's comment about the 'gift' vs payment. I don't know if you've got any recourse with PP now, since what recourse does one have to a 'gift'.

Was this trade done within the GameTZ system, or outside? If it was done within the system, it should be fairly easy to file a BTR (Bad Trader Report in GameTZ parlance).

Otherwise, what you should do is you contact the moderators directly about the situation.

If the items, a refund, or a tracking number is received I will gladly post the outcome.
If it turns out the items were shipped on-time I will publicly apologize to VileRedFalcon, but it seems pretty clear that he just kept the payment and sent nothing.

Of course sending payment as a 'gift' is unsafe, but it doesnt give VileRedFalcon the right to steal. His post with all the SNES stuff is still up. You can find it if you do a quick search. Its the lot that includes a snes system, chrono, FF2, mario RPG and other games.

(Edit) that doesn't seem to be going anywhere, I did get spammed with a link to somebody's store site 12 seconds after getting on though :P

I'm wary of opening a thread about this in Site_Feedback when I don't know it's the right step to do (nevermind I'm not an involved party in this dispute).

He's also on NintendoAge and lives local to me. I've had two good deals with him, something must be going on, I would not think he would just run off with the monies.
