You used to need a worldpass to pick your server, and a friend had to buy it, but they were removed a few years back. There's still a gold worldpass, which gives you things like level-sync headgear (not really that useful now that they have party-wide level-sync). After a year, you get a model airship for your moghouse.

Not a huge find, but good enough for me:

Fatal Frame for PS2 - like new condition - yard sale find - $3.00.

oh I forgot to post this earlier, That 70's Show season boxes 1 and 2 both for 25 bucks. Bad thing is though season 1 box is beat to hell like the box is dented and the cases were cracked to hell but season 2 is fine.

and also The Beatles Abbey Road vinyl, and a Yellow Submarine pick

i'll put pictures later. or not depends if I can get my phone to do it.

You found Kosmos, lucky bastard. Tomita vinyl is pretty hard to come by.

Goddamn. I've been looking for that Wendy Carlos album for a while (on CD, but still!)

Yeah, today was interesting for vinyl. I got all four of those from the place I got my LaserDisc player, and I was in there last week looking to see if they actually had any LDs. When I was looking at the vinyl stack to see if any were mistakenly put there, an employee comes and asks what I'm looking for, and if I like records. No LDs, and the records are crappy, but I mentioned that I collect old electronica and new-wave. Odd that I actually find some this week!

I have the first Switched On Bach on vinyl, but I saw the reel-to-reel tape spool whatever version at my church thrift, not really sure if that's worth anything.

I can't imagine it being worth too much. My father is the only person I know that has a reel to reel player. He also has not used it for several years.I mean almost as old as I am years. Not aware of reel to reel enthusiasts either.

Here's what I got so far this month:

    Value Village:

Mickey's Dangerous Chase (Cart-only) for $4.99 - I don't see to many good GB games these days so I grabbed it. It kind of reminds of Mickey games for the Sega Game Gear.

    Various collectible/antique shops in town:

Kirby's Dreamland 2 (CIB) for $5.00 - The box is a little crushed on the top, but at least the internal battery still works. (Unlike my first copy, which didn't work even after replacing the battery.)

Crash Bandicoot (Missing manual) for $6.00

Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back (Missing manual) for $6.00

Croc: Legend of the Gobbos (Complete, GH version) for $6.00

Also, during the long weekend, I went to the PNE (the Pacific National Exhibition) with a friend, and came home with a huge Pikachu plush!

No picture, the camera's batteries are dead...

I picked up Mario Teaches Typing 2 (Win 3.1 / DOS) for two bucks, and ten CDs for $5. They come from who I believe was someone who really liked his old music. There's a bunch of albums from the Musical Heritage Society in the bundle. And some awesome ragtime music, too.

today I found a few things of relative interest (to me anyway):

At a game store, they have Xbox games buy2 get 1 free so I got:

    Worms Forts
    Batman Vengeance
    World War II: Iwo Jima

The interesting thing that I learned is that if a game has a manual, it costs MORE at this store! I was looking at Leisure Suit Larry and the one without manual was $8 while the one with was $12. Forget it. Probably not shopping there much more....

Then I went to Half Price Books and picked up:

Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 (PSP) $3.98
    WWF Royal Rumble (Dreamcast) $2

Not worth a picture, but definitely good stuff for the collection.

I'd like to think I did pretty OK on this one:

A 7800 in the box, complete except for manual but does have an extra power supply, with these CIB games:

    Ms. Pac Man
    Food Fight
    Centipede
    Galaga
    Desert Falcon

    And for the 2600:
Crystal Castles (no manual but box)
    Word Zapper
    Football (loose)

$20 for the entire lot. Pic to come if y'really want it.

oh my gosh yes are there reel to reel enthusiasts out there. Reel to reel audio can fetch some ok money, and reel to reel films on 16mm can get insane amounts of money.

Really? I gave selling those a shot a while back and didn't even get my investment back.

Huh, I guess it's worth a little... That's about the best I've seen, though. All the other reel tapes they had were the generic thrift store record stack material.

Excellent deal. Pics always welcome. Here's what I got today:

A Bible's For Missions Thrift Store had a loose Sega Master System (Hang On and Safari Hunt built in) with 2 Light Guns, all the hookups and, for some reason, Genesis games with it - $5
The Genesis games are all CIB - X-Men, Ariel Little Mermaid, BattleTech, and Lightening Force

Also bought a Coco 3 with the 512k upgrade, a deluxe joystick and a loose Malcom Mortar cart for $30 from another forum.

reel to reels are just like anything else, there are the ones that are rare, ones that are aought after, and the commons. The player decks though also fetch lots of money.

    Penny guides from Best Buy.

Got all of these from a thrift(I always wanted to say that) for a dollar each. I was going to list some on ebay and some in my seller's thread but there isn't anything very desirable in there. So I'll most likely just unload them on a local game/music/movie store I frequent.
