Do you restore the boxes to your loose games?

on a similar note, has anyone thought that they bought complete games, only to a homemade case or manual?

I've always made custom covers for games if I had the desire to do so. Usually based off of the Japanese artwork.

The cover looks how I want it to and nobody could ever complain about it being "fake".

I actually just bought a loose box for one of the Konami Collection games off eBay, which is rare enough for me to do...I'm even less crazy about roll-your-own boxes.

I don't make any sort of homemade cases. I just keep the carts loose, unless I have the box, in which case I take the game out (so I don't risk damaging the box through repeated openings) and stack it with the other carts.

I'm a tad strange, I don't care about boxes, but I do want manuals. With carts i plan to get plastic cases and make my own make-shift labels.

I have a ton of loose GBA games and I want to put them in DS cases and print some nice artwork for them, but I haven't been able to find a place that actually sells empty DS cases here in Denmark, let alone Europe, and the american Nintendo store won't ship to Denmark.
I've tried contacting Bergsala (the Scandinavian Nintendo distributor) but they weren't exactly helpful.

Any thought or advise?

You try looking on Ebay? It may be hard to find any, you may be able to find someone who is selling them. Otherwise contact Nintendo of Europe about it. Or just try and find some cheap shovelware titles to rip from their cases.

I agree here. Ebay would probably be your best bet.

I've made some homemade labels, but have never made homemade boxes before. However, uniformity is always important to me, and I used to make homemade CD and DVD cases when I would burn concert CDs. But game wise, I just never bothered, and I think part of the reason may have been due to having so many games without boxes or manuals...it would just be a mess.

@Gentlegamer: Those boxes look really nice. I especially like the Castlevania 3 box, and personally wish that Nintendo would have used clamshell boxes for their NES releases as opposed to the cardboard. The boxes look like they store well on your shelf too, and that is something that I find very important.
