So, um, anyone playing this lately? I'm nearing platinum and just need 5 more weapons. Not sure I want to slog through the farming involved to get them, though. Anyone want to comment on whether it is better to play through new games +++++ to get the ores I need or just farm for it? Anyone wanna just meet up and let me hold their Fatal weapon?
After finishing King's Field IV and currently playing Eternal Ring, can someone explain why some consider Demon's Souls a "spiritual predecessor" to King's Field (sometimes in particular to Shadow Tower)?
I would so love to have the LE version of the game, but man is it pricey.

I got really lucky on this one. I still don't completely know why, but something about the previews on this game made me know I would love it, so I ordered (maybe even pre-ordered, which I never do) the LE version. That guide has been used like crazy, and since I'm careful it has held up really well. Haven't actually looked at the bonus disc at all.Originally Posted by megasdkirby
I've always contended that this game isn't as hard as it is made out to be. I think today's gamers are overly used to being able to finish games simply by sitting in front of a screen for some prescribed amount of time until it is over. I doubt many people that have played a lot of classics would say this is overly hard.
What is the difference between the "Deluxe Edition" and the "Black Phantom Edition"?

The Deluxe was available in NA, the BP was in Europe(?), not sure where, but not NA. That's it AFAIK. But I think if you have one or the other you can only connect to their respective servers. Hopefully I'll be corrected if I'm wrong.
Like others have mentioned the game isn't hard, but man. This is really an impressive speed run. I thought that 4-1 shortcut was good, then 3-1 was kind of eh until he dodge rolled through the arrows.

Yeah, I just finished the first vid, and man, I'd read about those shortcuts, but actually executing them that way is insane.
