Default Classic Game Stores/Arcades in Korea/China?

The wife & I are planning a trip to Korea & then China *or* Japan.

The stores & arcades & such in Japan are pretty well documented, but what is there in the way of classic (or not-so-classic) game stores/districts/etc in Korea or China?

    Thanks,
    -Jason

I've only been out of Texas a handfull of times, so I'm not going to be of any help to your question. However, when you take your trip, I would love to see the pictures...

Not in China that I've seen. Hong Kong, yes, but I don't think mainland China has much of that sort of thing.

Hong Kong has some decent retro gaming stores. Only decent, not great.

The problem with this part of the world (and I'm only speaking of China, not Korea) is piracy is so rampant that finding anything legitimate/collectible is not very easy at all. Hong Kong/Taiwan/Singapore/Korea/Japan, sure, but the rest of East and South East Asia, not so much.

Though Malaysia, while Pirate Paradise, does have some really decent arcades, so perhaps there are some in China, too.

Off topic....I don't know much about Japanese baseball, but my university's only sports hero plays (played?) for the Marines. Benny Agbayani, from Hawaii Pacific University.

I wish I could think of a witty way of saying that China is freaking huge and you had best narrow down that part of your question just a tad.

And really, it's China! Your choice of tourist destinations should probably be decided by something other than the locations of classic games stores/districts/etc. Especially since unless you are fluent in the written language, you'll have a very, very difficult time finding something recognizable anyway, even if you can find a game store.

He still does. I'm actually a big fan of his, fans at the stadium know me for yelling "BENNY!" very very loudly every at bat. I got some nice pictures of him at the game last night, actually. He had a grand slam on Sunday

I went to Korea last summer. Looked for gaming store, but really didn't run across anything. Definitely check out the Yongsang Electronics Market. They sell a lot of new things, but there are some classic stands. I got a picture of a vertical television for shmups - pretty cool. There was one booth set up that had a Panasonic Q, but it was closed. I also passed on a CIB Spice Gamecube with GB player for ~$100. I did buy a Korean Genesis Sword of Vermilion though for like $5. I still have it somewhere. I did run across a ton of CIB US SNES wrestling games. Like, every store had six or so.
