Macross Sprite Ghosting

Hey all,

I've got a JDM vertical scroller "SDF Macross" and it works great, aside from all the sprites being ghosted. I've had someone explain that it's likely dropping a 0 in the sprite positioning. But I'm not exactly sure how that would be repaired.

All the character, enemy and effect sprites are interlaced ghosted about 2 cm to the right instead of lining up to create a solid sprite image. Backgrounds, animations and cutscenes are perfect, sound has no issues either.

I have it looked at the "only" arcade repair place I know of in Toronto Canada, and although they were very nice and did take a few days to look at it, they were unable to find any cause, nor do any repair.

I have it in a cab and still play it from time to time. but I would like it to be a little more perfect

any thoughts ?

Try pushing on socketed chips (carefully) while it's running, you may need to resocket something.
